Hotel in a good location, basic but very clean with friendly staff and good value for money in the expensive city of Caracas. Communication between Hostels.com and Hotel Altamira worked well. Hotel and location is safe even at night, the Metro is around the corner and there are plenty Cafes and Resteraunts within 1-10 minutes of walking. The rooms with balcony are clearly preferable. I would got there again. Free Wifi works well and a safe deposit at the reception is available, but at high cost

The pictures shown on the hostels.com are from another hotel, the Altamira Suites, not the Altamira Hotel. No hot water. Bad smell. Dirty room and dirty bathroom. Otherwise, is in a good and secure neighborhood, close do Plaza Altamira and Sambill Mall.

1) The Hostelworld map shows the hotel place wrong. -Found there by using google maps. 2) The communication between Hostelworld and the hotel had not functioned: I went to the hotel one day in advance just to control that everything was ok, and they didn´t have any information about my reservation in the hotel. I had made the reservation to Hostelworld one week earlier.

Hotel simple, sans plus. Bonne situation geographique, le mieux quartier de Caracas (Chacao) Bon rapport prix/qualité.
