Good location, easy walking distance to main street, centre of the city and just a few blocks from the water front. But extremely basic, private rooms have no windows, in general not cleaned well at all. Only 1 knife in kitchen, 2 cups with no handles, 2 old cooking pots & 3 plates. It would be easy and cheap to improve the supply of bare essentials.

Our room smelt of urine. The book exchange policy was a joke - you had to give 2 books to get only 1 back. Kitchen was severly understocked. Our food got stolen out of the fridge. We were not given any sheets to sleep with. The staff were not entirely helpful and when we asked the receptionist to please book us a taxi from the hostel to the port so that we could catch a boat, the taxi ended up taking us to the airport. The only 2 good things about this hostel is the price and the free wifi.
