Although in a good location, the bathrooms were pretty dirty, the fridge was mouldy and the staff were not particularly helpful.

About Unity Hostel Balaton
It's been years since we opened our hostel in Budapest. Since that time hundreds of backpackers asked us about a classy backpacker hostel at lake Balaton area. We couldn't wait anymore and last summer we opened our hostel at the lake.
We are happy to announce that UNITY BEACH HOSTEL is open again in Balatonlelle in 2009.

We are located right behind a free beach access to the lake, right opposite a large shopping and dinning court, only few minutes from the best clubs... The Hostel operates with extremely informative staff offering detailed information on directions in the whole region. Many bars, pubs, and really cool undiscovered wine cellars all within a few minutes walk or ride. Use our Unity Club Card to enjoy discounts at certain places.
The Hostel also features a wide variety of inexpensive eateries, Hungarian ice cream shops, and supermarkets that can be reached by taking a few steps out the door. To experience the atmosphere of the LARGEST FRESHWATER LAKE IN EUROPE you just step out the door and go any direction, you'll be amazed.
The Hostel provides dormitories as well as private rooms on two floors. Each floor has bathrooms and restrooms as well for the most convenient stay. Free breakfast, bed linen, free internet access, and a fully functional kitchen are only a few examples from the long list of amenities. Each room has a spacious terrace which are the best places to relax or chat with other backpackers before you hit the road.
Lake Balaton is not only a stop on your way to the Adriatic sea, it is a life time experience. A short two hours from Budapest by train, along the scenic southern shore, lands you in the town of Balatonle.
