Fine! Place for Budget accommodation. Very Central. It is between La Rambla and Parallel Avenue. Only 5 mins walk to La Rambla. Apollo nite club is only a short walk away too. People who complain about this hotel should go and stay in a 4 star hotel but they probably can't afford it

there was non hot water in 4 of the 5 rooms we booked and some others guests did not have some either. We had get angry at the manager and negociate for 40 minutes to get a small discount. nice detail, you can hear clearly all the guests in the corridor when they come back from partying. annoying Do not go there. This place is a shame.

The staff was not very helpful and when asked something seemed annoyed. The room was extremely small with a very small window exposed against a wall in a closed courtyard. The mattress was so old that lost its shape and was very painful to sleep on without mentioning that the bed sheets where old rough and not very sure they were clean. The bathroom ( ensuite ) was clean and the towels were clean and replaced every morning. You needed to pay both for internet and tv, but internet was veryslow

The hotel is more like a hostel with en-suite bathroom and toilet. We had a dark room looking into the middle of the building. The space in the toilet is so tiny that it is hard to get around. Anyway, the location was great, in the red light district though, but it felt safe. Only 3 minutes from La Rambla. 24 hrs reception and clean place. The WiFi is not free either. To stay for a night or two this place is really not bad, good value for money.

This is a very nice place to stay! It is close to the main street Las Ramblas, and it is walking distance to the beach. The only negative thing is that it is a lot of prostitutes in the streets outside of Barbera.

Amazing location...2 mins walk from las ramblas! Staff werent overly helpful, but referred as to a nearby information kiosk that was very useful! Clean facilities. THere are pickpocketers all around las ramblas and the hotel so you should be wary of your belongings!

Ok. Nearby the main street to the center of town. Near a metro station.

We had read some reviews of Hotel Barbara after we booked and were abit concerned. But after arriving we were very pleasantly surprised. Everything was fine. Security was excellent as I was travellling with my 19 year old daughter and this was important to us. The only slightly negative comment would be the noise at night but we realize this is out of the control of the hotel. We would definitly recommend this hotel.

We spend one night without sleeping not even one hour because of a quarrel in the room next to us. Only at 7 o'clock the hotel called the police and we could rest. They should have refound us.

no problem with area. Prostitutes added charachter. The problem was with Wi-Fi not working and having absolutely NO hot water. That was unacceptable. Food crumbs in room. Obviously not cleaned between visitors. It could be cool, but failed. Would never come back to this hotel, but would come back to this area. a very good experience.

Never Ever again. The security outside hotel?.. burglars, prostitutes, dealers.. etc. we had problem, weve been jumped, all documents money everything, the staff didnt help us, they even didnt let us use the phone.. dont go there. gabriel&petra

It's OK for this price, except the walls are thin and people arriving from nightclubs are very noisy. Our saturday night were therrible, we couldn't sleep at all - buy earplugs, if you want to sleep, or party till morning! :)

Our room had intimate hair on the sheets and they were stained. The staff was awful about it and told me it couldn't happen, the hotel was always well rated for cleanliness. I took the hair to the desk. They did not offer to change the sheets. We were offered a different room for the next night. I said we would not be staying after the first hour there. They insisted on charging for a second night saying it was the hotel policy and refusing to look up hostel world policies on the web.

wifi = 3€ / h !!! Remove control television: 20€ deposit

not bad hotel staff were great and trustworthy and really central to every thing but the location where the hotel is based, is the base for the oldest profession in the world, not for those that have children over 18 only

This place is very close to the red light area in barcelona, however this hostel is quite safe from those people. The hotel is a great value for money specially for the location.

We came to the hotel to find out it had been overbooked. they sent us to another hotel but the rooms were really really cramped. we had hardly any space to move or put our bags. staff was very nice but wasnt worth the price.

was one of the worst stays of my life. didnt right down bookings prob so we had to share a 2 bed room between 4 of us. rooms also stunk and in a shocking location

It was a little crazy. Prostitutes on the corner...no shower curtain and no door for the bathroom. My friend and I are close, but damn....watching me shower?

right next to a street full of prostitutes, which actually isn't that big of a deal, just walk past them. it's also right next to la rambla, which is a prime location. and the rooms were literally just beds, blankets, and a private bathroom with some soap and shampoo, but what more can you ask for at that price. the beds are really really comfortable too.all in all, a solid place if you're staying a few days on a budget
