Generally speaking, the hotel is very nice, clean and cozy, and the staff are very friendly as well. The cost for a hotel room is not expensive at all. The only bad thing is there is no elevator so it will be quite a headache for guests with heavy luggages.

Nice and clean hotel with easy access to Metro and lots of good places to eat nearby. Reaching anywhere by Metro is simple. You can also walk to Georgetown for a relaxed stroll and dinner in the evening. Staff is friendly and there is a nice tavern/bar. The lack of an elevator didn't bother us. It could be helping provide even better value for your money. Definitely recommend it.

Fine as a hotel, and reasonable compared to DC prices. The walls are paper thin though and the bar downstairs was really loud, we could feel the base through the floor, not good if you're jet lagged. I would request a room on the upper floors.

Decent location, good neighbourhood, convenient to public transport & easy to get to attractions. Building is creaky, but ok, recently refurbished with fair facilities, generally clean. Reasonable size rooms, facilities not too bad. Really a hotel rather than hostel, staff not very friendly, no social scene, et. Quality-wise, better than your standard hostel, but quite dear, as is anywhere in DC. Security is dubious. Elevator doesn't work. Downstairs public bar makes it noisy.

Be warned! I reserved a private (paid for 2 beds to get a private) and the first room I either hadn\'t been cleaned or had a guy still living there. In my second room I saw a mouse run out from under the baseboard and back. In my 3rd room (still same day) everything was ok but the TV was broken. It has charm but is not clean AT ALL. Bring a travel sheet/pillowcase for this hostel. No elevator (there are 4 floors). Staff was nice. Location was good.

The hotel was quite fancy and very comfortable. We had ar room with with a comfortable double bed, an nice and clean bathroom with a good shower. We also had a television in the room. For 5 dollar per person extra we had a nice breakfast in the morning. From muffins & danish to toast and cereal. It was a 5 minute walk to the the nearby metro-station (within 5 minutes downtown) and there are lovely and affordable restaurants nearby the hotel. Clearly an area where a lot of people go to go out!

The people were so nice! Especially Dwight at the front desk. My room was on the fourth floor, so lots of stairs, but the view was nice and the room was awesome. Just like a charming b&b, this place has character. It was quiet (except for the occasional ambulance) and comfy. I was so close to everything and enjoyed myself immensely. The cleaning ladies were so kind and I appreciated them as well.
