I think security was quite poor in terms of collection of room keys upon returning to hotel after a day out. Guests were requested to leave their room keys at the reception when they go out, and upon returning to the hotel, guests just asked for their room key without any identity verification from the hotel staff. This means that anyone could just walk in and request for a room key, as a shelf with room numbers and available room keys are displayed at the reception counter.
