Hotel Bertha Reviews

The heater went off and instead of calling a mechanic, they gave me a tool to repair it myself. When I refused, they managed to give me an old electric heater. I would not say I felt comfortable with it, as my room was on the 5th floor and in case of fire I had no chance to escape using the narrow wooden stairs which were partially covered with a black nylon sheet (!?!?!). The staff was unfriendly and the did not care about my complains until I finally said, I am not paying for the night.

Not a luxury and unique place. But it was clean and the staff was really nice. They also tried to speak in Spanish.

Location was fine, however states hotel room was very very small and no ensuite only shared bathroom at this price it should of stated that if and when booking in a hotel room you'd expect your own bathroom at least. I would have booked in a hostel and had more atmosphere and bigger room.

Awful wi-fi. They charged me more then I was supposed to pay and each time I used the card machine, the guy added 1 euro. The bedroom was very good, and also the bathroom. The location is very nice, with the metro very close, besides that Sacre Coeur is only some minutes far from Bertha. I would go there again.

ΟΚ from the beggining I didn't have great expectations from this hostel...But,I don't know which thing was worst! The fact that I have booked a private bathroom and they gave me a room with the toilette outside,the poor heating facilities, the extra thin blankets you loathed sleeping on them, or the no elevator-walk your one way to the fith floor with your luggage??Really if you can avoid staying at Hotel Bertha,please do!There are a lot more confortable hostels at Monmartre at the same prize!
