Basic, cheap hotel. Not bad for the price. 5 mins walk from Atoche railway station and about 20 mins from Plaza Mayor. Staff very helpful.

Window closes with dificulties, so there is much noise during whole night (traffic and noisy bars on the street).

A basic hotel with friendly staff, in an excellent location (near train stations) if you are travelling through Madrid.

The bathroom door was off its hinges. Taking a shower was like standing under a dripping faucet. The pillows seemed as though they were stuffed with soggy cheese puffs. But it was fine for one night. The location was great and everything was clean.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable and outdated, the shower barely big enough to stand in and almost unusable. Good luck to anyone sleeping on any floor lower than the fifth - traffic and people create loud noises that make it difficult to fall and stay asleep (also pretty sure some sort of garbage truck came every night around 1230am). The only place to really get WiFi is in the lobby - no such luck in the actual rooms. Definitely not as good as some other hostels for the same price.

Good value for the price I paid. Excellent location. All basic things from a hotel at a reasonable price.

The hostal Is in a great location 1 min from athocha station . Easy access to museums and the city centre . The staff are very plesent and helpfull. The rooms are aged but the beds are perfect and everything is clean . The only problem I had was that I booked a room with shared facilities . There was no shower available so I had to wash in the sink . Not a bad place to stay but i would be sure to book a room with ensuite .

Overall it was a pleasant experience. The staff was friendly, the location was great, and the rooms were kept pretty clean. My only complaint was that the Wi-Fi rarely worked. It seems like a minor issue, but it actually turned out to be extremely frustrating. We needed to use the internet several times during our stay and I think it only worked once, maybe twice. For this sole reason, I would choose a different hostel the next time I'm in Madrid. Don't advertise something that doesn't work!

About the Free Wifi it´s difficult in an old building like this to cover all the areas but anyway we offer also free wifi in the reception area and also a free computer with ADSL with printer. Please the next time you need to come to Madrid, Think on us and we will be sure to give you a room with a good wifi coverage. Best regards from Madrid. Buelta Hotel Team

I had a fantastic time in Madrid...and one of the best findings was the hostel. The hotel is pretty al fue usuree and need a face wash, but the location is spectacular (10min from the Center) and price affordable for everyone (i paid 27 per night!) Making it a very competitive combinantion! Clean and nice I spend a good time there
