Booked a 3 bed private but we were dispersed across 3 rooms. A couple staying in our dorm made things uncomfortable! Horse riding trip with Abaru is amazing but keep trip not as exciting. Hostel beautiful building and gardens and location.

A beautifull place with a garden full of flowers! The staff is really friendly and the food is good good too😃 It is a 10 minute walk out of town take a taxi the first time you arrive!
Incredible hostel, one of our favorites. Great, helpful staff. Phenomenal dinner by in-house, talented chef. Comfortable, cute rooms. Superb ourdoor deck surrounded by lush gardens. Cheap, self-serve beers for sale. Free purified water. A little slice of heaven. Stay here!
This place is amazing. I was only meant to stay 2 nights. Ended up staying an extra 3 nights. If you want to go to San Augustin stay here. Don't bother looking elsewhere. Everything about this place is perfect
Great and cosy hostel. De staff is very friendly and knows everything about traveling.

best hostel I have been in Colombia especially after a busride to san agustin, we arrived very late and had no clue where we were, the nestor legendary chef cooked us a great meal at a very unchristian hour. He is type of guy who helps you remember why Colombia is the undisputed best country in the World and it will make all other countries look cold, unfriendly and silly. If you were hesitating to take this deviation, my advise is, go to casa nelly and Mocoa afterwards.

Enjoyed my stay here: helpful staff, nice atmosphere, it's out of town but that's a plus in my view as the area around the hostel is v quiet.
My 13-year old and I just couldn't tear ourselves away from this charming hostal. By the end of the first day, we felt like family. The dogs, the hosts, the hammocks, the fellow travelers, the honor bar, the quiet walk into the town center all suited us perfectly. From the hostal, we booked a horseback riding trip and a hike to a nearby waterfall. We also walked to the ruins and another off-the-beaten path waterfall about an hour from the hostal.
This is a great hostel. It's definitely a little out of the way but that's part of the charm. The staff are nice and some speak English which is helpful. The food is good although dinner wasn't available every night. They only limit wifi to the main area because they want people to come together in the main area. But it would be nice to be able to use the wifi whenever you want. But overall it's great. The gardens are really nice as well.
Never had a hostel in Colombia with such good breakfast.
Amazing place, owner, pets, food.. Amazing everything!!
Fabulous hostel. Idyllic setting, very helpful staff. Guests were a mix of long term and short term like me. Good for families and backpackers. 10/15 minute walk from main square. Gave average for security only because there's no front gate, but it doesnt need one I imagine, the rooms had locks anyway. They have a live-in chef, but if you're on a budget the guest's kitchen is a bit basic & shabby at times. That said, the pros far outweigh the cons. Loved it there.
This is an extremely good hostel. The hostel was clean, the staff were extremely nice and there were great places to chill out. The private room was spacious, clean and very affordable. The staff made dinners at night for 13,000 which were delicious. Only downside would be the shower was slightly annoying (would require constant adjusting, but was hot which was nice).
The place is just incredible and San Agustin and the area is so peacefull! La Casa de nelly is the perfect spot for a week with a wonderful garden, very cool staff and an amazing location!!

A lovely pace to relax with beautiful gardens. Staff are beillaint and the f ood is amazing.
Really enjoyed our stay here, one of the friendliest and most relaxing places we have been.
Beautiful location. Mostly quiet but the walls are so thin I could hear snoring from an adjacent room. The food is good but it was never explained how it works. One night dinner was served at eight and the following night it was served at seven. I do wish I had more time here. The staff was helpful in scheduling our transportation and answering questions about the area.
Good: Plenty of other people staying. Great food. Relaxed atmosphere. Bad: Room was cold, dark and a bit damp. Toilet was constantly blocked. Staff potentially too relaxed - we had to take our own laundry off the line after 3 days hanging in the rain.
Definitely liked it very much and would come back! While I was there, most of the life took place on the terrace, which is set in a very pretty garden with hummingbirds. The house is an old rustic, cozy finca. The manager is very helpful and might even organize a tour of his own. If you don’t want to cook, their dinner is awesome! Another plus: no bunk beds! Booking through this site was a bit weird though, as I could only book a whole room, but they fixed that up on my arrival. Thanks again!
Casa de Nelly, can't think there would be many people happy to have to leave this awesome hostel, more than likely extend their stay. One of the best hostels I have stayed at,warm and welcoming, comfortable with Loadsa of space in dorms, great garden and places to just relax in a beautiful part of San Agustin.Harri,Gustavo are awesome hosts with a whole heap of information on the area and Colombia as a whole, not to mention the delicious meals Gustavo manages to put together. GREAT place to stay
