Hotel Catalina Reviews

The location is great--right by restaurants and street vendors and, of course, the touristy Avenida Revolucion. Staff were helpful too, even with poor Spanish skills. However, the room was not very clean. No air conditioner, lime on the shower, and the room is dank unless if you leave your hallway door open. I saw a couple of bugs crawling on the floor both nights. If you don't mind these small downsides to comfort, the bed is nice, and you'll be able to get around the city. Free wi-fi.

It´s a normal Hostel in Tijuana according to this price. Nearly central in Tijuana, No Computer for internet access, but free wifi. There is mildew on the wall in the bathroom. The Chef and the receptionist can speak fluently English and they are very helpful, give you a lot of informations you´ll need in Tijuana. No lockers in the rooms but you can use the lockers at the reception, they are absolutely secure !!!

I've stayed at this hostel several times and this is the 1st I noticed "bugs" in the bathroom. It won't cause me to NOT stay there although this might be a bit embarrassing for another traveler who might not be so forgiving. This has never been a problem in the past.
