Very good location, the price was reasonably good for being 10 minutes away from venice st lucia station. Not much to say... standard budget hotel accomodation, good value for money when compared to a hostel. And has air con which is a big plus. Only bother is the bus into town, but its a cheap and relatively short journey (10-20mins). Lots of inexpensive local amenities (cafes bars etc). There was a funny smell every time we entered the room. Shower area is a bit dark. Many mosquitoes. Overall, it's still value for money. There is a good kebab shop opposite the hotel.

Exclnt costxservicexlocation.
It is not a hostel it is a 3 stars hotel.
We flew to treviso and got the bus to Mestre 10EUR return tikets. the bus stop is 10min from the hotel. To go to venice is quite easy, buy the 24h tiket that allows you travel as much as you can on bus/ boat 18EUR.
from the hotel to venice is 20min by bus.
There you take a boat to visit the city or go to other islands as for instance Murano, Lido, etc using the same 24h tiket. Ask at the recep for a very good Exclnt costxservicexlocation.

In Mestre, 9 blocks from the train station. Very frustrating because nobody could explain to us how to buy bus tickets to Venice, no information given to us by staff except a map. The service staff were very friendly and helpful. The connection to Venice (old town) by bus is surprisingly good. Good compromise for a comfortable stay and reasonable price for your weekend in venice.The service staff were very friendly and helpful.
