Very cheap but the sheet was moldy and the staff who showed me in were unfriendly. It's also not a hostel, but a business hotel that added dormitories as a kind of afterthought. The dormitories were on the 9th floor, but the only showers were on the 1st. The advertised common had only old japanese men sitting there.

If you wanna enjoy Japanese Ryokan, this is the place where you can find traditional bathtub and being completely honest nakedly. What really bothered me was the room was not very well sound proof, you might hear the guest next to your room chatting or even snoring. Overall, this is quiet a worthy staying place with the price and the location.

Smelly and with a filthy kitchen. Beds clean enough.

Very good for the price! Of course it's not luxurious, but if you're travelling on a budget I would definately recommend!

Extremely clean, affordable, safe, great (!) shower, hospitable staff who made sure that our group of 11 was well catered for. Super close to Shin-Imamiya Station and easy to navigate around. Beautiful views of the street from the room, not much noise from outside.

Very clean hostel and extremely helpful staff. The only downside is that you hear the noise of trains passing by. But it doesn't bother me much so I'm okay. Thanks for the wonderful accommodation, Hotel Chuo!

Low price you paid and higher value you've taken! 24hr open. Free coffee, black, green tea, hot water and drinking water. Different brands of bathing liquid

I think the hostel itself was quite alright, more like an actual hotel but super budget. The staff were nice enough, although it was coin laundry, the rest of the facilities were fine although they're all on the first floor so you have to keep going back and forth depending on what floor you're on . Beds are futons, The area itself is not the best, this is the second time I've been in the same area, it's not as central as Umeda or Namba but it's close for those who are willing to travel a bit.

When I asked to extend my stay in the (cheap) dormitory, was told it was booked out, however confirmed with the other people in the dorm that the beds remained empty. They like to make a buck knowing it's inconvenient for you to move, although I still had to check out at the same time to change rooms, so never even got a sleep in for the extra dollars.

Very, very good hostel! Clean, with a nice english speaker staff! Japanese style shower (toiletries provided) or traditional shower. Very good wifi, notebooks available if you don't have a tablet. Near the subway station.

The location was a little slummy and next to a loud Pachinko parlor, but very close to the station. The Hotel was a little old, but very much what we needed. The staff was friendly and warm! Even took a picture with us at the end! I'd definitely recommend it to those on a budget.

A great Guest house. Big clean rooms with helpful staff.

An extremely economic and low price for a single private room. A very good location which s just next to 3-4 different train stn. Clean and tidy and traditional japanese private room. No doubt to choose it, if u want a cheap travel or cheap living in osaka.

very helpful staff, nice location, good coffee

I think this place is great value for the money - next to a subway station and JR Station, inexpensive private rooms, a hot bath, etc ... may not be the greatest place for people who want to socialize, but for people who like sleeping on futons and want a good set of facilities in a convenient location, it is excellent.

only three showers + one onsen (Japanese bathroom) for the entire hotel. Rooms aren't very soundproof, but with airconditioning and tv. Common room and bathrooms are on the first floor, in the lobby, which can be awkward. Showers aren't very hygenic. Towels, slippers, bathrobe, soap/shampoo/conditioner/toothbrush... are freely available. Location: close to the JR trainstation of Tennoji, but als close to the "red light district" of Osaka. It was quite the shock coming from the deer of Nara ;-)

Nicely located close to Osaka Tower and right next to two different subway stations, Hotel Chuo is a great deal for its money. It's a little sad they only have two showers and bathrooms in the basement for the whole building, having to go down there from the sixth floor was a little inconvenient.

Not a bad place, just a bit worn compared to some of the newer hostels I've visited in Japan. The location is a little out of the way, but since it's practically next door to a circle-line station, that's hardly a problem...

Nice hotel with wonderful location. Full range of facilities!

For getting a private room the price is pretty incredible here. Very near the train station and with the bikes provided I could easily get to the attractions I wanted to. There was a stain on my bed sheets and what looked like blood on the shower room walls. Staff were gruff and the communal room wasn't very comfortable. This place could definitely use some renovations!
