Not the best hotel we stayed at in Japan, shared bathroom and fairly expensive for what it was.

Overall a nice hotel, got a twin double room and ended up being the only ones in there, so that was a bonus :)

reasonable price & very polite and helpful staff! A very good and convenient place to stay and go around. Thanks a lot!

Very unsafe neighberhood, only one toilet a floor, the showers weren't very clean and you had to walk past the people-filled lobby every time, which was very uncomfortable.

great stuff very, very friendly... super clean close to Namba and few blocks around is the world oldest red light a must see. see you guys in spring again. I just had a great time. free tea or coffee all day long, a huge tv and common area... shower and bathrooms are also super cool and clean. best and cheapest place you can find in Osaka. Dennis

I really enjoyed staying at Chuo hostel in Osaka! the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very easy going. i enjoyed the big bath !!! i believe is an excellent value for money!

Good location, above the subway station. Walking distance to Minami (South) attractions. Well organized. Cleaned though the building is old. Kind/Friendly staff. Free tea/coffee, shampoo/conditioner (several brands available), slippers, etc. Small kitchen. Big TV.

Hotel Chuo had me really surprised, in a positive way. Not only was the location downright perfect for my stay, but the room was quite large and comfortable, the staff friendly and anxious and the lounge with its free coffee and water very welcoming. WIFI was good and worked perfektly within the whole hotel.

Cheap and nice. More worth than the price. The staff was kind, people can communicate on the first floor, room was clean and big, public shower for 24hrs and hot bath tub were alright to use, and nice location. I was very satisfied staying here.

Staff were so friendly at Hotel Chuo. I stayed in a 4 bed and it was good. Lockers were too small though when leaving my backpack in the luggage storage, it was locked in a secure room with a tag attached - quite secure as other hostels just leave them in an unlocked room! Showers are on the bottom floor though I didn't see any queues and sinks and toilets were provided next to the room. They even give free towels and robes. Highly recommended!

Very cheap but the sheet was moldy and the staff who showed me in were unfriendly. It's also not a hostel, but a business hotel that added dormitories as a kind of afterthought. The dormitories were on the 9th floor, but the only showers were on the 1st. The advertised common had only old japanese men sitting there.

If you wanna enjoy Japanese Ryokan, this is the place where you can find traditional bathtub and being completely honest nakedly. What really bothered me was the room was not very well sound proof, you might hear the guest next to your room chatting or even snoring. Overall, this is quiet a worthy staying place with the price and the location.

Smelly and with a filthy kitchen. Beds clean enough.

Very good for the price! Of course it's not luxurious, but if you're travelling on a budget I would definately recommend!

Extremely clean, affordable, safe, great (!) shower, hospitable staff who made sure that our group of 11 was well catered for. Super close to Shin-Imamiya Station and easy to navigate around. Beautiful views of the street from the room, not much noise from outside.

Very clean hostel and extremely helpful staff. The only downside is that you hear the noise of trains passing by. But it doesn't bother me much so I'm okay. Thanks for the wonderful accommodation, Hotel Chuo!

Low price you paid and higher value you've taken! 24hr open. Free coffee, black, green tea, hot water and drinking water. Different brands of bathing liquid

I think the hostel itself was quite alright, more like an actual hotel but super budget. The staff were nice enough, although it was coin laundry, the rest of the facilities were fine although they're all on the first floor so you have to keep going back and forth depending on what floor you're on . Beds are futons, The area itself is not the best, this is the second time I've been in the same area, it's not as central as Umeda or Namba but it's close for those who are willing to travel a bit.

When I asked to extend my stay in the (cheap) dormitory, was told it was booked out, however confirmed with the other people in the dorm that the beds remained empty. They like to make a buck knowing it's inconvenient for you to move, although I still had to check out at the same time to change rooms, so never even got a sleep in for the extra dollars.
