Very friendly staff who could speak English (but who were also happy to speak to us in French as we were wanting to practice). We were able to check in right when we arrived and we were also able to leave our bags with the front desk before we left Avignon. Both of these things allowed us to explore the city unencumbered by our bags! The one thing I will say is that the room was rather cold. We were in Avignon for a rather cold two days but our room never seemed to get as warm as we would like

Looked the night before and when I booked next day prices had risen dramatically, most likely because of Christmas season
