This place is under new management and cannot possibly be the No.1 Hostel in Jaco! If you book through Hostelworld they won´t be expecting you because their email isn´t working! Don´t believe what you read in Lonely Planet about the hot showers, the showers are freezing and the shower heads are broken so the showers are bad. One shower has a plastic bottle instead of a shower head and the spanish surf dude in charge insists it´s not broken! There´s no internet and the wi-fi is patchy at best.

Nice and cosy hostel, friendly and helpful staff, surfboards for rent, well located in town and very close to the beach, nice and clean pool and big roof terrace to relax, only the outdoor kitchen is a little scruffy and needs definitely better maintanance, especially the fridges were quite nasty.
