Very sweet older couple running this hostel! They don't speak English, but you can get by quite easily if you're prepared knowing a few phrases in French. We really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location, near the Jaures station which contains lines 2 and 5. It was a little loud at night because it was in a busy location, but I had no trouble sleeping. The showers were annoying because there were no curtains, so every time you took a shower the entire bathroom would get soaked. The staff only spoke French or Spanish, which would be problematic for English-only speakers.

The location is really great! metro right across the street, heaps of great bakeries and fruit markets around and mcdonalds is right next door with free wi-fi. The room is small, but not a problem, bathroom is nice and everything is very clean. The staff really don't speak ANY english, so if you are a beginner like me it would be helpful to get a translator ap on your phone. I stayed in 2 locations and missed this area when I left. If you get yourself a metro pass your life will be 200% better.

Nice, clean hostel that is located next to the metro station connecting with Sacre Coer and Triumph Arch. Noisy street next to hotel but windows are quite OK and it doesn't disturb at night. Staff speaks french only, but pocket dictionary is enough to say anything you may need help at. Elevator takes you up to seventh floor. Beautiful view from top floors. Social room with paid Internet machine available. No kitchen or place to boil water. Good value for money.

When we arrived at the Hotel we were told that there was a problem with our reservation: we had booked 2 rooms for 2 people for 2 nights but they changed the reservation to be: 1 room, 2 people, 4 nights!!!!!!! As the hotel was full we couldnt stayed there. We were moved to another Hotel in the area where they had available rooms. The issue was that this new hotel was absolutely disgusting: smells, noises, dirtiness and 5 floors without elevator.

The owner only speaks French. His wife also speaks Spanish. Both were very kind. The hotel is not super quiet, if that is important to you, because it is right next to an above ground metro. Also, there was no free internet, but the McDonalds next door did have free wifi.

The room is quite small, staff at the reception doesn't speak English, it is so noisy at night with the sound of ambulance, motorcycles, cars etc , not comfortable to sleep with the noise, the noise only becomes less around 3 am. But the hotel is clean and facilities are in good order. Wifi available but have to pay for it. I don't think it's a good location. I would prefer another hotel in Paris.

This place had it's upside and downside. Being across from a subway station had it's advantages and disadvantages. noise was a problem but convenient when needing to get downtown Paris. One line and you were there. The towels were so stiff that they were hard to use on your body. Had to purchase Wifi and spent more time reconnecting that actually using the service.

this place is ok as it is cheap and you get what you pay for, but don't expect to sleep your across from the emergency responce and sirens go off 6 to 7 times each night and car horns all night. the nieghborhood felt safe but we did not go out after dark. the feed the homeless is set up across the street under the train depot (we were told not to use it doesn't have good conectors).the subway stop to buy tickets is a short walk away. staff speaks no english at all but where nice smiling alot

The connectivity is great : just outside the Metro 2 Jaures subway station - so had no difficulty finding the hotel and it was easy to reach all parts of Paris by Metro. The area is not very safe at night. But then, there are department stores, restaurants and even a McD nearby. The staff was very polite and friendly, though they only knew French, so we did have a little problem there, but that is fine. The bathroom lacked heating, so it was cold there, but the room was good, clean and cozy.

The owners are very kind... But only speaks French and Spanish! The wifi is not free, but there is a McDonald's right next door. It is located right next to the metro station, but it is not in a central location for sightseeing. It is, however, about one metro stop away from the train station. The rooms are not in the best condition, but for the price, it is decent.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel for 5 days. It was really close to the metro station (just had to cross the street), with a lot of restaurants (including mac donalds), bakeries and supermakets nearby ! The rooms were very simple, but they were warm and really cleaned. We enjoyed staying there, we would defenitively come back!

The area was quite sketchy! As a woman, travelling alone, i did not feel very safe in this neighbourhood. The receptionist was very kind, however, she did not speak english, which made things difficult at times. The bed was very hard as well.

The place is really fine. Its a little bit far away from main attractions, but stands perfect in front of a subway station, witch is convenient to reach anywhere. They still don't speak English there, but they speak Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, French and maybe something else.

The location is great and the owner is a very king lady. Good value for the money. I recommend it for those who do not wish to stay a lot in their hotel rooms, instead they want to enjoy the city.

Pretty good place to stay, although a bit pricey for the location. The staff speak almost no English (so practice up on your French!), but are very nice. It is right across the street from the metro station, which is very nice.

The owners did not speak english, only french. Some standard phrases in french is recommended to learn, like how to ask for your key etc. Otherwise the staff were very friendly and polite, they made us feel highly welcome. The rooms are clean and simple. Perfect hotel to stay at if you only use it as a place to sleep.
