This hotel was charming and super clean and exactly what we were looking for! The location is great because there are lots of authentice cafe-bars nearby (no tourists) and across from the metro! Staff were friendly and helpful and the place was spotless!

Ok place to stay, although I felt it was a bit expensive for the value of accommodation. The staff speaks virtually no English (so prepare accordingly) and are very nice. It is steps away from two metro lines, which is a huge plus in Paris.

We were so pleased with our experience at this hotel that we booked here again on our way back through Paris a few weeks later! The staff's English is not very extensive, but their friendliness makes up for it!! A Metro stop is just across the street and the hotel entrance is clearly visible from the street. Both of our rooms were very clean and they weren't stingy on the heating during February like some places. Very good value.

I thought the hostel was really nice, the staff was very kind and helpfull. The place is good, with a metro station right across the street, so i consider it's a good place to stay for the price. At night things were a bit different, i've tried to go out at 9pm to have some dinner and when i crossed the street a bunch of guys came after me and my girlfriend, so we had to get back home until the next morning... Thankfully we had a McDonald's right beside the hostel, so don't get out at night!!!

Hostel Room was extremely warm to walk into which was nice! Location was literally outside the Metro, right next to McDonalds. The owner's were lovely, even though they didn't speak English were helpful.

The owners were so co operative. We arrived early, and they made sure that we were comfortable till we had the room available for check in. In spite of the language barriers, we communicated by signs and smiles. :)..

the hostel's a bit old but everything is clean. a very good location: right next to the Metro station, a McDonald's, and a supermarket.

Very kind people. Good location, close to Jaurès metro station and well served by low cost restaurants. The rooms are very clean and well served. Unfortunately, they have no two beds rooms - only double bed; furthermore, the heating is always on so sleeping has been sometimes difficult, even in january. Besides that, a very good hotel!

The hostel is very conveniently located , right next to a Metro station. The staff were friendly. But they did not know any Enlgish. I booked a 2 bed ensuite. However the bed was pretty small for 2 guys. Overall a good budget hotel if you just need a place to crash after a day of sight seeing in Paris.

Very good hotel for the value of it. The location is very good, there is a metro station with 2 metro lines just in front of the hotel. And the best is that there is a McDonalts just 3 meters away...Perfect....

Previous comments are correct. The staff does not speak any English but they do speak Spanish. They are kind and the hotel offers good value for what you pay.

This hotel was a cool little place ran by an old couple. They do not speak any English but were very nice and helpful. The hotel its self is nothing special, just your average room with a bathroom. The reason we stayed here was that we were going to stay at a hostel but it was just as cheap to get our own room here and as a couple we got our privacy. It's across the road from the metro so traveling was super easy and there was a hip little club across on the bank of the canal. Ok place to stay.

When we arrived an old man on reception was behaving so wierd, he took my confirmation paper and was writing down my name and then payment. I was to pay 153 Euros, but I gave him 155 and it took him about 15 minutes to subtract these values - he was calculation on that confirmation paper, saying something aloud in French. He completely understood that we do not speak French, but still was saying something to us. That was really annoying me.

Fine price/quality ratio in this expensive city. neighbourhood isn't the best in Paris, but no problems and easy metro connections. Couple doesn't speak English, and the man is reaching the age that he is starting to have some trouble understanding his job. Took us 10 min to make him understand vingt-quatre, which is really a French room number, so carry your reservation with you when you leave the key at reception at night.

The owner was superbly affective and understanding, trying to communicate with us whenever she could - we speak Portuguese, and she made a real effort to speak our language, which touched us hugely. Rooms are small, but warm and cozy and quite clean. Place is discreet and in front of a Metro station, turning the everyday journeys to the turistic hotspots greatly easier. Overall, a good place to stay, specially if you're Brazilian or Portuguese.
