My stay at Deniz Hotel was overall a good experience. Excellent location next to the Blue mosque and other sites. The room was clean and comfortable; however, I was disappointed by the window view of construction taking place by the water. Staff members were mixed, some were quite friendly while others were quite cold. Breakfast was great! The terrace view of the Blue Mosque and the city was a plus. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a simple facility in a great location.

1. They offerd the worst and smallest room first, even though they had a better one available, in which we were transfered to after a while of unfriendly staff talking to us. 2. Cleaning team in the morning slamming doors and shouting through corridors. Guests are sleeping. No respect at all. 3. By mistake we handed a 50 TL note to the person in the reception instead of a 20 TL note. He didn't say anything and we realized it too late when we were already on the road to the airport. Honesty?????

We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the sea. The breakfast terrace had views of either the sea or the city on the other side. There was a good array of breakfast items from which to choose (typical Turkish breakfast of bread, hardboiled eggs, olives, cold cuts, cheese). The hotel is within walking distance of major sights.

Jun 22, 2013 thebackpack Our teenage kids had a lively apartment overlooking the ocean. Ours too has lovely views but was on the ground floor. Two of the reception staff were extremely helpful and spoke good English. The one who did not speak great Englush mentioned we had not settled our bill when we had done so on arrival. Luckily we found our credit card payment as he was insisting the deposit we paid to hostelworld was not included However, the other reception staff were amazing.

Clean, beautiful views of the sea from both my room and the top floor breakfast room, and very easy location for sightseeing.

Great free first aid kit. Don't let hotel arrange airport transfer, the bus is cheapest. Paying cash gives you a 5% reduction. Nice environment, lovely rooftop for breakfast, welcoming staff, wish they had had mozzie netting on the window

overpriced for value received....makes me worry about the HOSTELWORLD markup

First night we were given a "special room with a garden and sea view". That's true, but also this room is next to the railway, a machine in the garden is making loud noise whole night and the reception is 7 meters from the room so we heard talk at 00:30 and 07:00. After we complained, we were given a great room in Sultan's Inn! Staff were polite and courteous, but at the same time gave us that lousy room in the first place. NO ROOM nr 1 !!

a very nice little hotel in the centre of the old town, at walking distance off the most important things to see. The very friendly staff was always there to help us out (we had a delay of 3 hours and lost our luggage!)and made the hotel like a home for us .Thanks again Mr Kerem,Mr Murife,Mss Ekrem

Great, you won't find better place in Istanbul with such price.

An excellent choice if you want a hotel at the price of a youth hostel in a beautiful, quiet, central area. Would definitely go there again

We enjoyed the stay here. The breakfast was good, but its selection was limited after 9. The staff were very kind and helpful and we were able to walk every where. Just be careful with the 15 euro tour...... you have to pay for entrance fees at the sites. But we would go back to this place again.

Just GREAT. Thanks so much!

This hotel is a good value. The rooms are very nice, many of them having some kind of balcony or terrace with an incredible view of the sea. The rooftop terrace is very nice for breakfast. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and always easy to find at the front desk.

Was exactly what we needed!

Clean budget hotel located near old Istanbul's main sights.
