Was a really good hostel, good location. They only take cash, which would have been nice to have found out beforehand- with it being called a Hotel you expect that they may take cards. Du Commerce was also undergoing a refurb at the time, so the place did smell of paint which wasnt pleasant.

Good location and nice staff but the place is in need of a renovation. My room smelt of cigarette smoke and I had to go through the cold court yard in order to get to the shower and toilet.

Unknown to me when i booked you actually have to pay the hostel 3 Euro per shower you have, and when you go into either of the 2 showers they are full of mould as neither of them have fans in there quite a health and safety issue.

Pleasant enough hostel although it was odd having to leave our keys at the front door. Room definitely had a mouse so be careful about leaving food out. Room was supposed to have two beds but turned out to be 1 bed and 1 cot. Book this hostel if you don't plan on spending a lot of time in it but want an amazing location. Don't book this hostel if you're looking for an excellent hotel stay.

Upon arrival they charged an extra €2 per night per person in advance for using the shower. Seeing as this was non-negotiable, even if we chose not to shower every night, I think this price should have been factored into the overall price I was shown on Hostel World when I made the booking. It was more expensive than they had allowed me to think. The room was behind the building in a de-mountable, there were construction materials in the corridor, the toilet was outside with no sink and leaky.

The location of this hostel is fantastic. I would stay here again just for that! Be aware that this hotel does not accept payment other than cash, which proved to be a huge problem for me. Also, five floors and no elevators. Generally though, a helpful staff and a cute atmosphere.

The hostel is located in near the Latin Quartier that has AMAZINGLY cheap three-course meals. Also it's like a 5-10min walk to major tourist attractions such as Notre Dame, the Panthenon, the Bastille monument, etc. The area was extremely nice! My friends and I felt really safe. The hostel was going under renovations so it took us sometime to get into our rooms... that was a bit annoying.

Le plus gros inconveniant est le bruit extérieur pendant la nuit et la concentration de chaleur dans la chambre

This Hotel was really good! Its in plein centre of paris, in the Latin Quartier, my room was recently renewed, so it was lovely and clean. I couldn't ask for anything better for the price in this location. The members of the staff were very helpfull and oriented me of how to get around paris, and the tours. No breakfast but the little kitchen was fine for me.

it is a very simple and nice hotel,no big standard, but all you need is there.(-) we had our room on the 4th floor, without elevator, the view out of our room wasn't really beautiful, means there was a huge wall (+) some staff was very gently and gave us a lot of information. there is a little kitchen to have his own breakfast, its location is very central, 3minutes walk to the "Notre Dame", Seine, Pantheon. metro station is very near would recommend to low-budget people, I would come again...

'Hotel' did not accept credit cards, which came as a surprise. Staff spoke very little English. Building had no disabled access, and room was about 6 flights of winding stairs (and showers were on ground floor!). Room was incredibly loud, door slammed, hallway made of wood. Good location but that was all it had going for it.

Superb value for money for Paris. We were allocated a good sized room which was tidy and well kept. Fantastic location close to Notre Dame Cathedral, restaurants and weekend markets. We would definitely stay here again.

Could not ask for a better location-seems to be close to everything! Right next to the metro. Staff was very kind and helpful. Nice showers and comfortable beds. If you are in a room that opens to the street, it gets very very noisy at night. Not a problem if you don't mind wearing ear plugs but be aware. And yes, there are a lot of stairs but there were stairs everywhere we went so I don't see why it was a big deal for other reviewers. Good choice for the money and location!

Very good location in the center of Saint Germain. Staff is helpful, but not always friendly and hospitable. Shower is not near the room, but on the reception level. Extra 2 EUR per person if you would like to use the shower - this was not in the quote! Overall not too bad and not too expensive.

Beurkkk !

There was a man in the reception at nights, he was not very polite and helpful. Apart from that, all else was very good.

On the website it says thee are kitchen facilities but when you get there you can only use it for breakfast , we booked it for the kitchen facilities specifically so this was annoying

Very noisy at night as it is located next to a pub with rowdy customers.

The hostel staff were very friendly and as helpful as they were able to be. For the price I don't think we could expect more. The staircase is a little difficult to negotiate however I don't expect that this can be changed. We would stay there again.
