We stayed in a double room with no shower which is fine but was located facing the street and was very noisy but to be expected on a friday night. The hotel is located in an excellent position surrounded by restaurants and a 2 mins walk to Notre Dame. Having read a number of reviews if you come expecting a two star you will not be disappointed. The rooms are fine but the shared showers are on the ground floor but the location makes up for what the hotel lacks. We would easily recommend

In brief, I LOVED the hotel! I read the others reviews and I really don't undestand why people are complaining that the rooms are freshly painted- it's renovated what is good,it's new and it's not so hard to open a window! No elevator-why do we need it? If we can walk, we can climb some steps, don't we?. Even it is good for our health! Paying 2 euros extra for the showers- people if you can read, you'll read the description before making a reservation-and if bothering you, go somewhwere else!

The hotel was under some minor construction, but the workers were pleasant and the staff very polite. We stayed in a freshly painted room that was a fifth floor walk up, but had a great view! The location is superb and the showers were nice, but they only have them on the ground floor. If you're on a budget, it's a great option.

It is weird to pay extra €2 per person for the shower. The amount could have been included in the room price. 1.05euro for the coffee machine is another funny amount to pay.. Otherwise, everything was fine..

Unfortunately we were assigned a room in a corridor that had been freshly painted and therefore were unable to stay there due to the smell. The staff however was helpful, and even more helpful were Hostelworld call center employees. Some of the real problems you can have in the newly refurbished rooms are: no elevator and 5 different floors, uneven floor (even if it has been refurbished very recently) and in this period, work in progress in the corridors.

Really cheap place in a perfect location (right next to Pantheon, Metro and really close to Rue Mouffetard!!!). Amenities are what you paid for. Pay extra for shower.

A wonderful hostel! It felt more like a hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is amazing! If I ever come back to Paris (fingers crossed), I'll be staying here.

The landwomen is very unkind, stubborn, and unflexible. but the stuff are very kind. I hate the landwomen. The shower is charged extra 2euros each time, I think the landwomen is crazy and out of mind. However, the location is good, and so is the cleanliness.

Let's put it this way: the only redeeming element about this hotel is its excellent location and the fact that it is very cheap. This is where you want to be when you are visiting Paris. Other than that, it is tragic! I wouldn't say it is dirty but it is poorly kept. My room was very basic, which was fine, there was a shower in the middle of the room, three radiators and non of them worked, it smelled of paint and also the shower or sink (or both) in the room had drainage odour problems.

The best location in Paris in Quartier Latin just 4 minutes on foot from the Notre Dame and the best spots to have a drink at night. We will definitely pick it again (if we make it in Paris again). It is clean and partly renovated. We were even given extra towels and printed our boarding passes before leaving!

I was generally pleased with my stay. The woman who checked us in was excellent, she was so warm and cheerful. The location was very good, everything was nearby. The shower was a problem though, it had no way of attaching it to the wall, so you had to hold it the entire shower. And the water temperature was not good, the temperature fluctuated between boiling hot and ice cold, nothing in between.

When I arrived there were a lot of building materials in the hallway and the whole building and especially my room smelled very strongly of paint. The rooms were very shabby. There is also a supplement for the shower which I was unaware of. However, very good for the location. It wouldn't take a lot for this place to become very good.

Rooms and hotel is really awful. But location ( 5min to Notre Dame, maybe 1 min to metro, 2min to carrefour) is excellent ( for this price). There are a lot of restaurants, cafees, library, pharmacie, and all others which need tourist. Staff is always friendly (speeks french, english, spanish, maybe others too).

Fair value for the money. Not exceedingly far from touristic atractions (bus 94 leads to them in half an hour), very simple breakfast, small room but comfortable bed. Staff is friendly and helped us with locations.
