I dont't like the staff's policy of not letting visitors prepare meals (other than breakfast) in the kitchen. It would also make this too "individualistic" place, where visitors rarely speak to each other, more lively and warm.

The hostel was great for what we wanted. A cheap place to stay in a great location for a couple of days. The staff were friendly and the hostel looked very nice. However, our room was not ready when we checked in and we had to wait for a couple of hours. This was frustrating as we wanted to have a nap before we explored. Also kitchen facilities are very limited, you are only allowed to use them for breakfast. There is no social area so this is not a place to meet people. Overall it is good.

There is no option to have a private WC, you share it with all the occupants in the same aisle. If you want to have a private shower theres also an additional cost which is not previously informed. Hot water in the shower is not always available. Although the facade of the building looks nice, the rooms are a bit too old. Too expensive for such a room, you're actually paying for the location.

We stayed in a double room with shower in room and shared toilet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cash only, no cards. Good location next to metro station, lots of restaurants and shops in area, can almost hear the bells of Notre Dame. Good value in pricy Paris.

The location is great, nearby there are great cafes, bars and Notre Dame, but the our room was quite poor,though just renovated, There has been a lickage there and so the roof was swallen downwards as it seemed to me to ruin soon :D When we came for check-in they moved us to another a little bit more expensive but cozier hostel 2 minutes away so we spent just one night in Hotel du Commerce. My opinion is that for 5 euros more expensive hotel you would enjoy much better and hospitable environment

We really loved our stay. The rooms/hallways were very clean, the room was big enough. It had everything we needed.

Pros: staff were very nice, pretty central location, you can walk to Notre dame and the Pompidou, there was a train station like 200m, lots of cute cafes and restaurants nearby and on the weekend there's a little food market there. Cons: heater was broken in our room but the guy in the desk gave us a portable heater to use, had to pay for 2€ for the shower per day.

Staff was beyond friendly, they were very accommodating and helpful. Stayed in a double room with shared toilet and shower, everything was kept clean and in good working order. The location was great as well, nice little pizza place across the street and cafes all around. Great walking distance to many sights and shops. Walked around late at night and felt very safe, there is even a police station on the block! Everything exceeded my expectations!

hostel's location was good,it is close the metro sitation and also notre damm. but our room was smaller than the appearing picture in the internet. we expected that more bigger. and also the common bagno was at the enterance of the hostel.so if you stay in 3th floor it is worst thing that to do bagno :S cause of there isn't lift also. i paid this money for location and our little private room..that's all.. but anyway,thank yu for everything..

Our room was clean, warm, and comfortable. The shared toilet was small but clean. The showers were warm. The free wifi was great. No complaints!

I had a really pleasant stay at the hotel, very clean, confortable and nice place. The location is perfect, a block away from the Metro and really walking distance from Notredame, Rivoli, Saint Germain . They were really kind to me, but the last day I had a problem with the taxi. They asked AM instead of PM and I had to pay the double for the taxi because the shuttle to the airport didnt have space in the correct time I needed, and they didnt help me with the difference of money in the taxi
