Hotel was in process of repairing. There were boxes with paintings everywhere. Workers drilled making dust everywhere. They put me in the room, which has been painted just a day ago. I couldn’t stay there… Staff lady proposed me another room, it didn’t safe me from the smell of paint. At the last night I was awaked by the mouse which has been running on the paper packages and searching for food at the rubbish container, which has not been cleaned up for 5 days (all days I stayed at the hotel).

Was a really good hostel, good location. They only take cash, which would have been nice to have found out beforehand- with it being called a Hotel you expect that they may take cards. Du Commerce was also undergoing a refurb at the time, so the place did smell of paint which wasnt pleasant.

Good location and nice staff but the place is in need of a renovation. My room smelt of cigarette smoke and I had to go through the cold court yard in order to get to the shower and toilet.

Big room w comfortable bed. No breakfast. Lots of stairs , our room was in the 5th floor and the showers are in ground floor (no lift). the best thing about the hotel is the location in latin quarter very close to notredame. I would reccomend it if you have no problem with the stairs!

This place is FANTASTIC for location. A 3-5min walk from Notre Dame, by lots of bakeries, restaurants, stores, etc. 15-20 min walk from the Louvre. Finding a place like that at such a low price is rare. The place itself wasn\'t the cleanest by any means but we took it for what it was, a cheaper hostel. The only real concern would be the abundance of black mold in the showers. A bit of a health concern. It\'s on a louder street so you have to choose between quiet and air circulation in the room.

Has character, but not the comforts. There is no kitchen, only a sink, vending machine, coffee machine, no microwave, nor refrigerator. Wifi is available without charge, small lobby seating is colorful and comfortable. Two common showers by the lobby. Rooms are various sizes, but no elevator for the 4+ stories, and a maze of stairs. Luggage storage available Room with street view is noisy. Our upgraded private shower room had no light, and had to negotiate for a discount. Staff cool to cold.

Unknown to me when i booked you actually have to pay the hostel 3 Euro per shower you have, and when you go into either of the 2 showers they are full of mould as neither of them have fans in there quite a health and safety issue.

Pleasant enough hostel although it was odd having to leave our keys at the front door. Room definitely had a mouse so be careful about leaving food out. Room was supposed to have two beds but turned out to be 1 bed and 1 cot. Book this hostel if you don't plan on spending a lot of time in it but want an amazing location. Don't book this hostel if you're looking for an excellent hotel stay.

Upon arrival they charged an extra €2 per night per person in advance for using the shower. Seeing as this was non-negotiable, even if we chose not to shower every night, I think this price should have been factored into the overall price I was shown on Hostel World when I made the booking. It was more expensive than they had allowed me to think. The room was behind the building in a de-mountable, there were construction materials in the corridor, the toilet was outside with no sink and leaky.

I definitely recommend this hotel-hostel to people who want to spent time in Paris in an economic way. You walk 5 min to Notre Dame... Unfortunately you're not allowed to cook lunch/dinner, but you can buy things for breakfast around the hotel. We spent most of our time in the city and just came back for the night. I would stay there next time, too. Not for people who want to stay somehow luxurious...
