Hotel Du Pont Vieux Reviews

Location is great, very near to La Cité, only 5 minutes walking to the main entrance. Just in front of the hotel there is a fantastic bakery and 50 metres away a very nice restaurant called Le Passage.

The location of this hotel is simply excellent, near both the Cité and the Bastide St Louis. Even though our room didn't have a view of the castle (some of the rooms do), they have a small terrace at the last floor with an amazing view, really worth it. Breakfast isn't included, and rather expensive (7,50€ per person), but it's really good and I found it worth it since we could eat enough in order to skip lunch at noon. I would definetly stay there again if I were to go back to Carcassonne.

Clean and nice room. The staff was friendly and helpful. They definitely cared about keeping you secure (there is a different code to get into the building every night). Internet didn't work in all the rooms, but worked in the lobby. Beautiful view of the fortified city from the terrace up top and just a short walk away. It looks a little sketchy from the outside, but really is a nice place to stay.
