The most striking thing was that it is right in the middle of the red light district, so there were always some (rather offputting) hookers and drug users, but I didn't feel unsafe at all and was well aware of the location before booking. Upon arriving early, the room wasn't ready but they cleaned it up very quickly. The 7 euro 50 breakfast buffet was good, a large range of hot and cold food, plenty of it too. For a cheap and central place to stay in Frankfurt for a weekend, wt';s worth it.

If you like to be located in the sleaziest area of any city with a parade of drug addicts, alcoholics and prostitutes outside then this is the one for you. This is obviously not the fault of the owner as the rooms are OK and the en-suite bathroom is a bonus. I think if they moved this property a couple of streets down then they would make a killing (money-wise, not the sort that I thought I could hear going on outside...). Also the WiFi isn't free.

Room is nice, clean, cute, cheap, close from Altstadt BUT in the red light district. We felt safe and we didn't get any trouble thought. Would recommend.
