I stayed at Estacion Gerona for only one night and I don't regret it! The staff is VERY welcoming and helpful, the hotel is safe and clean with a kitchen. I would recomment it to anybody who stays in Guatemala City :)

The staff in Hotel Estación Gerona was more than helpful and welcoming. The place has good wifi and kitchen. A very good place to stay in Guatemala City indeed.

Great place to stay, would definitely recommend it as a real Guatemalan experience for anyone who doesn't fancy airport side hotels and plastic reception! The staff are great, it's very clean and people staying there were really nice to hang out with. It's got a kitchen where you can cook, a rooftop terrace (well, kind of, but then view's alright from up there) and TV in all rooms. All for the cheapest rates in town. The hotel is really safe and well watched, and will offer airport pickup too.

The reception hour is very short and the staff is not always there. But if you can find them, they are helpful. The wall of the room is a bit too thin and the hot water is a bit tricky and not very stable. Wifi is on and off. Breakfast is very good.

I have a bad experience, I lost my credit Card and my Personal Id, inside the Hotel. i ve never knew Until I receive notification of bad transactions back in home. The Personal was generous and pretty welcoming, The Room was dirty and the Facilities Poor like loose cables on the electric shower, was little cold in the night even with extra blankets.

The owner is very friendly and helpful! The location is ok; although it's said to be one of the rougher parts of the city centre, we didn't have any problems and the place is in walking distance of the Palacio Nacional. Overall a good place to stay for small money.
