Only 500m walking from Thamel, clean bathroom, 24/7 hot water, spacious room and comfortable beds. Nice garden. Supportive staff. Provide free airport transfer even we stay only 1 night. And free luggage storage for us to go trekking. The only minus is no wifi in room, but still can use free wifi in garden and lobby.

Had a great time at Hotel Ganesh Himal. The garden is so nice to spend a restful afternoon in, the food is good, and there is almost always power(which is not so in the rest of Thamel, or even Nepal). It is a great place to get used to Kathmandu, and a very relaxing place to recoup from a trek. I came and went several times, and the staff always remembered me and made me feel welcome. It is only a short walk from Thamel, but the plus is that you are more in the local area.

Very comfortable Hotel, well located in Thamel in a quiet area that allows you a good sleep.Spacious, new and clean rooms, 24 hours hot water as they promised. The staff is wonderful all of them: front desk, restaurant, cleaning ladies, thank you to all of you. Good food also, try the Nepali. I did 2 tours with taxis that were very good, they explain the drivers were to go as drivers do not speak to much English, recommended. They have their own generator so the electricity shorcuts are not long.

A good place to stay in Kathmandu. Just out of Thamel, which is easily reached though in around 10 minutes by foot. The staff were a bit hit and miss though. The lovely garden provides a good place to chill out after dodging motorbikes all day.
