Hotel Georgia is a family owned hotel located next to the marvelous beach of Amoudara.
Operating since 1985, and renovated at 2009, Hotel Georgia gives to its guests a comfortable and family atmosphere in combination with the classic Greek hospitality.rnrnHotel Georgia operates all year round, offering all the services and providing facilities for relaxing and pleasurable accommodation in Heraklion. All the rooms have view to the Cretan sea or by the swimming pools area at the wonderful garden.rnrnIn its area hotel Georgia acquires a fully equipped bar , a pool bar, tv room, internet corner, a corner with homemade tradtitional products (virgin oil, raki and with flavours of -lemon-strawberry-water mellon, wine, honey and herbs), swimming pool, a playground and a wood fired oven at the taverna arearn.

Not an ideal location for me, too much in the tourist district, which is nearly abandoned in the spring. The water heater also seemed to be in the wall near my bed, and woke me up several times. BUT, other than these two things, I could not imagine a more lovely stay in Iraklio. The breakfast was tasty, the room pleasant and very clean, and the staff (a family) were more than I could have even hoped for. I got a pickup from the ferry, and a scooter ride to the countryside also! Just lovely.
