Hotel Germania

Hotel Description and Brief History: The Hotel Germania is situated directly at the banks of the Rhine, only 20 m from the famous 'Drosselgasse' in the center of the historical old city. This distance of the station as well as to the ship-landing place of the Köln-Düsseldorfer is only 200 m awayas well as the 'Winzerexpress'. All museums are accessible by a footpath that is 2 min away. By car,wiesbaden is 20 minutes away, and 40 minutes to the airport of Frankfurt. All our rooms are equipped with private bathroom, hairdryer, TV, and telephone. In 1882 the hotel burnt down completely because of a big fire in the city, and was rebuilt in 1883. The hotel got its name from the Niederwalddenkmal 'Germania', who was inaugurated at that time by the emperor. Since 1551 our family has owned the hotel. Our family tradition of running a small brewery is continued at the pub 'Hajo`s Irish Pub'
