We really enjoyed our stay there. This was our first hostel to go to and it was a good pick. It was conveniently located, very affordable, and just an overall good place to stay. I would recommend this hostel for any first-timers or just anyone going to Nice for a few days and are not planning on staying in the hostel much. We really enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were dirty and tired. All the sheets and towels were old and had existing stains on them, they are in need of new ones. Funny thing is they know this because they have a note in the elevator (which is insanely small) stating that they clean all linen/towels with bleach and they can assure you they are clean. Our drain in the shower had a foul sulphur smell coming from it we asked them for another room but they couldnt do anything. Overall I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone. Great placed hotel in center of Nice. All major points of town are in short walk distance. Rooms are quite big and equipped with all you would expect. Bathrooms are clean and tidy. The hotel is good, but the elevator is a nightmare. There was a fridge in our room, which is great. The shared computer was not working. Hotel Helvetique is at a small road of the main road which lies just between the main shopping district and the beach at the Cote D'Azure. A rather convenient place with english speaking staff.
