The room had no heating, no hot water even though it was an ensuite,. When we complained they came up to our room and gave us a broken heater . We were freezing, unable to have a shower, one of the windows had a drafted making it colder, they promise us extra bedding never came up with them. When complained they said that they couldn't do anything. Overall it wasn't a nice stay, I wouldnt recommend for anyway to stay here as staff were not helpful.

We booked 2 nights, months in advance, arrived at Hotel to find only 1 night had been booked for us. Hotel was full and we were offered the bar sofas instead for no charge. Luckily there was a cancellation - though one of us had to use the floor as it was a Single. The beds were clean and comfortable. The rooms were extremely stuffy, and your window opens to either a noisey, smelly smoking shelter, or a rubbish dump "courtyard". The whole place is basically rundown and in need of maintenance.

Everything was great, better than the YHA hostel I stayed at in terms of bed quality, room size, and amenities. My only minor complaint is that our room (104 I think?) was missing one of the knobs on the drawers next to the bed, and there was a sharp, exposed screw in its place. Also, the curtain on the right side might need re-hanging - it doesn't close all the way, and lets light from the street get in at night. Not a problem for us, but might be for other guests.

Looked a bit run down from the outside but very happy with inside which is what counts. Friendly staff, nice showering facilities and a good fry-up in the morning.

My mistake : I've booking a "smokers room" (n° 203) My regrets : any coathangers in the rooms, just a little chair But great satisfaction : the shared bathrooms were clean, very clean, central heating sufficient, english breakfast correct with a fast and smiley service.

On the plus side, it had a nice and cosy character, excellent location and clean sheets. The downside was that it was a bit worn out, and in need of a renovation. It also wouldn't hurt if they clean the room a bit better. But in relations to the money spent on the room you might not expect more. The real disappointment was the breakfast, dirty glasses and silverware, the coffee looked like old coffee waste, and judging from the leftovers on peoples plates, it probably didn't taste good either.

Dans la chambre 120 que nous avons eue les deux premières nuits, il n'y avait aucune possibilité de déposer des vêtements : ni placard, ni chaise, ni patère. La télé ne marchait pas. Suite à nos remarques, on nous a transférés dans la chambre 114 pour la troisième nuit, là, rien à dire. Très bonne situation de l'hôtel par rapport à la gare Picadilly;

The hotel was fine, but really the best thing about it was the hearty breakfast every morning. The fact that the wifi didn't work was a pain though, given that there were no cyber cafes within walking distance as far as i could tell. All in all i would stay again as the price was right and the location superb.
