Location, location, location, this is the best of this place, steps from Taj Mahal, good rooms, average cleaning, good food at restaurant. Value for money. Carefull with the drivers that work there, do not go shopping during tours for marble, paintings, jewelery, all is overpriced and low quality. Also in tour to Fatehpur Sikri go by bus,you do not need a guide, it is cheating. I think it is not the hotel responsability but just take the advice.

Amazing rooftop restaurant, with lovely view of the Taj Mahal. Room was clean and had hot water; staff were helpful; only a short walk from the Taj Mahal. Would recommend it.

very central to the Taj. Staff very helpful, and the view from roof of hotel 9/10 with the restaurant 2 doors up 10/10.

The youngman at reception desk cheated me in the end. I paid when I arrived because I had no small note, but he said I did not paid at the time I check out. Even finally, I have prooved, I paid, but i still feel bad with this place.

Incredible view of the Taj Mahal from the rooftop, superb value for money, cannot believe how close it is to the main entrance of the Taj Mahal (couple of hundred meters if that!!!) My girlfriend was bed-ridden with flu for a whole day and the staff were amazing - helping us with medicines, bringing her water, and generally all-round amazing!!!!

Staff very friendly, very close to the taj mahal.restaurant was nicer and cleaner than most in that area including lonely planets reccomendations. Happily gave us an extra blanket when we were cold.

Highly recommended. - really helpful and friendly staff - customers-centered services (1. We had to cancel our second booked day as we finished our tour ahead of time. With only one day notice, we were allowed to cancel our booking without any charge; 2. The home chef cooked us hot and nice veg fried noodles @ 6am so that we could catch the sunrise at Taj Mahal) Hope they can install shades for their rooftop restaurant.

Don't stay here. It's a good location for the Taj but it's a filthy pit.....and we had one of the posh rooms!! The restaurant is expensive and there's no shade on the roof. We wish we had stayed at Sheela's near to East Gate. Cheaper, clean and a lovely quite garden to get away from the madness of Taj Ganj.

We didn't actually stay here in the end. The morning we turned up there were no rooms and we were expected to wait for 5 hours. Fair enough its a business and they are going to let all the rooms out if possible but the wait was extreme. Went round the corner and got a better hotel, which was cheaper (400 Rupees per night) with more friendly staff.

Arranged to arrive at 1am as driving from Delhi after landing at the airport. The guy on the phone said it was fine and to call again when we got there. Arrived to find the gate padlocked and no buzzer or bell. Tried calling the phone but it was switched off. In the end my friend scaled a barbed wire covered wall to go knock on doors and finally woke the guy sleeping in the reception. He was pretty unhappy about being woken up even though he was clearly expecting us. Room was clean and neat.

I was not too impressed with Hotel Kamal. Our rooms only had a small lock on the inside which did not make me feel too secure. The rooms were average, but had chairs and a table which was nice. The bed was ok but the blanket was way too thick and kinda smelled. The fan rattled around on the ceiling and made me nervous, I kept thinking it was going to fall on me. The shower had absolutely no warm water, not even a little bit and the shower head did not work so I wash my hair using a bucket.

They have done alterations and improvements since the last time we were there. Really nice new luxury rooms-enjoyed our stay and will defenitely go back. The smaller rooms could do with aircons though as they only have air coolers. Overall the place is very pleasant and enjoyable and staff most willing to assist. Also had a good meal on the roof top of the hotel (day view of the Taj is awesome). Also just a 5 minute walk to the gates of the Taj and minutes away from the shops. Can recommend it.

I had a great stay here. My room was very nice with a good size bathroom, tv, and ceiling fan. It was very hot in Agra so the room was pretty hot despite having the fan on. The restaurant is good and the staff friendly. The free wi-fi was great and it is only a short 5min walk to the Taj. The guy that drove me back to the train station in his car when I checked out was really nice.

I got this one because the good location. It's just outside of the south gate of the Taj Mahj. They only accept cash. I booked single room and there was no AC. It was really hot even with a ceiling fan. A mice was running in my room! I booked through hostelworld but it is not a hostel style just a regular hotel. It's India. People shouldnt expect too much.

I have booked 2 rooms and in one of the rooms there were some bugs walking around. We had to change the hotel but it's not that bad iif you're traveling alone, i mean the other room was ok, maybe it was bad luck.

Hotel Kamal is a great place to spend a night or two in Agra! It's reasonably clean (though the bathrooms are underwhelming) and has a great rooftop restaurant overlooking the Taj. Its location is definitely its biggest selling point! If I found myself in Agra again, I would stay there again!
