The hotel is located very close to Kamata station which is very convenient. It is only about a 3 minute walk to the station. From there it's about a thirty minute train ride into central Tokyo. We stayed at this hotel because we specifically wanted to be able to sleep on a bed during our stay and not on a tatami mat. Our room was very clean. We had a spacious bathroom. We got what we paid for.

I came to Tokyo with my friend for spring break and we stayed at this hotel because we did not want to stay at a traditional capsule hostel. We speak no Japanese, but the staff was so willing to accomodate us even with the language barrier. The hotel room was clean and large enough for two people (we also shared a queen-sized bed, which was really not a problem). Because Tokyo is so expensive, this hotel is a great deal and is SO conveniently located (less than a 5 minute walk to the JR line).

This is what's referred to as a love hotel in Japan. It's the kind of place where middle-aged men go with prostitutes for quick naps. The staff doesn't speak English, certain rooms don't have windows and you can hear street noises from the lower floors. However, the rooms are clean, beds and baths are huge, and our room on the sixth floor had a black light in it, which is pretty funny. All in all, it was a peculiar experience that I'd only recommend to young and adventurous types.

we were especially impressed by the staff who were lovely. when we arrived our bank had cancelled our card and we had about GBP40.The kind manager guaranteed us a bed for the night and the lovely cleaner took us to a payphone we could use to phone our bank and helped us get through internationally. the manager also was very kind in helping us out with a variety of requests

The hotel is clean and definitely a good value for your money. Although there might not be a lot of Tokyo hot spots in the immediate area, it is still pretty busy and there is a pretty excellent ramen shop nearby. What really impressed me is when I lost my passport, the staff went out of their way to take me to the local police station and help translate for me. They were so helpful and seemed genuinely concerned about me.
