A very busy place. It's a hotel, although mostly frequented by backpackers. The location is excellent, rooms are good sized, bathrooms nice, hot water always available. The breakfast area is great and the breakfast plentiful. The female receptionist is tri-lingual, speaks excellent English, French, and of course, Spanish. Tours around the city or nearby areas are arranged. There is a handy, although not affiliated, restaurant upstairs, where one can get an inexpensive lunch buffet.
This is a well located hostel/hotel (more of a 2* hotel). It is primarily used as a base for GAdventure groups. I stayed as part of a tour. I returned a few weeks later not with GAdventures and was told I'd have to go to their sister hotel. It was around the corner so was no real drama. Key points - it's well located for witches market, and the downtown sites. Walking distance to the bus station (not easy until you know the lay of the land). I'd stay again. But it is slightly overpriced.
Great location and quality for value. Not a hostel so the social aspect may be lacking, but that was expected coming into this place. Good place to get a clean room and a hot shower and a quiet nights sleep.
