TV broken, showerhead broken, things keep falling down

we knew considering it was in paris it would be pricey but it really was just a room with a bed. It was fine to set out heads down after a long day of sightseeing etc so we spent very little time in the place. The owner was nice and it was near train stations which made getting the metro very simple. If its your first stop id recommend staying somewhere a bit more lively as you have 0% chance of meeting friends - its literally a place to crash and thats it. it was alright- not horrible not good

Nice staff, and the location is really good for tourists. However, facilities could be better.

The area is horrible, the hostel is horrible and the door key are just given out eith no identity checks

You get what you pay for. Only used the metro when we arrived and left which was good. The location is ideal as the attractions of Paris are only 20 mins away on foot. The staff are friendly! Only downside was you had to sit in the lobby for the wifi but apart from that it was what you'd expect for the money you pay. Basic but ok.

I appreciate it's a hard job to run a hotel , but the room I had needed some tlc .the smell of cigarettes in the room was awful . The bathroom needed a good clean . Towels were tiny and old, and a lack of information in the room meant that I was unaware of the wifi available ..

Furniture was dusty. The room smelled odd (to say the least)... and the blankets were dirty!

The environment of the hotel is very noisy, there is loud music until 2:30 am.

Great price and location, but you get exactly what you pay for. Don't expect anything too fancy when only paying 20euros/night. Had clean sheets and a fairly clean bathroom, 24 hour friendly reception, and was extremely close to the metro to take you anywhere in the city. The handheld shower head kept popping off, but otherwise a fairly decent stay for a weekend getaway.

The hostel was okay, it was cheap for France. The reception guy was very nice. WiFi being only in the lobby is annoying though. It seemed clean, just old and the elevator wasnt working which sucked because the stairs are not the best to carry things up.

Good location for the price, not too far from Montmartre & right next to Gare de l'Est. It's old & a bit musty, but very clean & comfortable, and has everything you need. WiFi in reception area with couches, table, and plugs, so no WiFi in rooms is not a problem. Only problem is that it is VERY noisy at night - I think it's the pipes. I'm a heavy sleeper, but even I was woken up a few times.

The location of the hotel is excellent, especially if you're coming by train to Gare de L'Est. The city is also easily reached with the 3 different subway lines there. Location is the best thing about this hotel, in addition to its cheap prices. The hotel itself is pretty shabby and the room is fairly dirty and musty but there is only so much you can expect with that price. The bathroom was quite awful but at least the bed was clean and there were no bugs.

It seems the last time the place was re-decorated/refurbished was in the 70s. This includes the old old stained bedding, the old/cheap furniture and the hanging electrical fittings. Very ugly and poorly maintained. Very expensive for what it is.

The shower in the room was extremely small. Adding a little shelf for soap and shampoo would make it much easier to use.

The location is good (it's close to Gare d'Est) and easy to find. Streets don't have much people but seems secure, with a groceries shop close. Elevator doesn't work and it's a small hotel but cosy. The staff is nice but not always on the reception. There are a lack of towels but you can ask for extra towels/blankets. The room has heater which is nice. The room and bathroom are small but with everything you need. There should be a common kitchen so travels can cook because Paris is to expensive

wifi in rooms is one realistic suggestion that would make the experience better

The guy is very nice and he try his best. I cannot complain about him. The place is terrible, old, no lift ( they always say that just broke but if you read all the comments will read that have been always broken). The room is small and toilet kind of dirty. Probably the clean and try to keep it tidy but is very has a very bad looking so, doesn't matter what they do, if the don't renovated is disgusting. Sheets seem clean and bed are confortable. WIFI only in the reception.
