We booked the room with Ocean view, but they got us the room with the patio view. Not happy about it, but good location and food, room....

The ladies at the hostel were super friendly and the space was beautiful. My husband and I stayed in the private room and it had its own bathroom. Very clean. Only like 4 mins from he beach, but doesn't get noisy. Felt safe the whole time. Breakfast was provided and was great. Fresh coffee and juices and a different meal each day. They were helpful in arranging transportation to Granada as well. We would return to this hostel if in SJS again.

Excellent breakfasts and a very accommodating staff. The water pressure in my room could have been better, but that's a small thing.

This was an excellent stay in San Juan del Mar. My friend and I stayed at another place with very mixed results. Hotel Maracuya did not disappoint! I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely guest house with great views of the bay; breakfasts were adequate, coffee was strong and plentiful and there is a fridge with lots of options to buy refreshments at reasonable prices in the lobby. Staff were great and had the answers to all our questions. In late December-January it can get quite windy which is when we were there and as a result, the location high on the hill, is very noisy at night. The lower rooms were not as noisy.
