my first impression of the area.. thought it looked a tad too suburban but did realise afterwards the area housed a number of hotels - made me feel better getting back at night due to tourist traffic. The interior furnishing of the hotel is fine... my single room a little old school but cozy (after hostelling for a few days, happy to get my own space & privacy). Just a 10-min bus ride away from Venice, all in all, guess it's a fair deal.
We are very satisfied. We really loved so stay in the hostel. If I know somebody who is going to Venice I will recommend this hostel.

Good location on the mainland. Facilities were adequate/clean/reasonable. Staff were a little abrupt but otherwise okay.
Out of all the hostels I've stayed at in Europe this was the best. The lady was very friendly and she have us great directions on how to get around Venice. I made a mistake with my booking where I fronted up a day early and she was able to accommodate us and was just super cool about everything. Her customer service was exceptional. I will definitely stay there again and will strongly recommend it. Best location. It's ten minutes to the city on the bus so it's quite at night away from the city
The hotel is not anything spectacular, but does the trick. Basically it's clean and comfortable enough to be worth the money. The only thing is that you are definitely not staying in glamorous Venice. You are in a somewhat eerie ghetto area near the train station that you can ride into Venice which only takes about 10 minutes.
Very good place, easy access to train station, I liked the proximity with groceries, restaurants, etc...
Great place to stay if you want to be in Mestre, outside of Venice, and save some money. A short 5 min walk to the train station, and only a two min walk to the bus stop. Both trains and busses run almost every ten minutes into Venice. The hotel was very clean and quite spacious. The bathroom was very nice. Very accommodating and knowledgeable staff. Would definitely stay here again!
Venice is a very expensive tourist trap so this place was a great value. However, it was on the mainland and still pretty expensive. Breakfast was not provided and the staff was very cold and rude (when we first got there she kept us waiting for 20 minutes with our giant backpacks on while she finished a conversation on the phone and on during our checkout she was making very snarky and backhanded remarks). I would not recommend this place since there are better options on the mainland.
The hotel was very nice. The room was quite big, only the shower was tighty and didn't have any shelters to put the soap and shampoo. The location is great, it is not in the island but it is really close to the statio and to a bus stop, so it is really easy to get there. The staff was nice and friendly.
The staff here is very helpful and very friendly, which made our stay so much more enjoyable. it's about a 5-10 minute walk from the Mestre station, so it's ideal for people who don't want to spend a lot of money on accommodation in Venice. The rooms are small but cozy, and room service cleans it every day so it's quite comfortable.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Martello. The location is very convenient, only 10 minutes by train from Venice! We found the woman a little cold towards us when we got there but that was about the only negative thing about this hotel. Other than that everything was great, the room was very clean, we had air conditioning also which helped greatly because it was really hot! Definitely recommend this hotel.
Hotel was very well located, few minutes away from Venice by bus. You can either take the train, or even better, the bus at one corner from the hotel, for about 1,30 euros. It takes you right to the main entrance of Venice, and from there you can walk and enjoy the city. Overall, room was very clean, it was quiet on night, except that there was a lot of noise in the morning starting at 7:30 AM, so if you wanted to sleep later than that and have the same bad luck, forget it. Staff was a bit cold.
We loved that it's right next to the train station 5 mins from the Venice city centre because it was quiet and you could get something a lot nicer at a more affordable price. The staff explained everything about how to get around Venice when we arrived. As the reviews mention, there is no separation between the shower and the rest of the washroom but this didn't really bother us. We weren't told that you have to reserve breakfast the day before and were stuck the morning we had to catch a train.
We arrived there early and the lady of the house allowed us to leave our luggage, She also gave us a map and clear instructions on how to get to Venice by bus. The hotel is 2 min away from the bus station and 10 min drive to Venice. The rooms are very cleaned every day, towels changed, etc. We had a very nice stay there, it is a quiiet place and nobody disturbed us. As I said, the owner is a very nice lady.
