overall have nothing to complain - a big advantage is of course the location of the hostel in the centre of the city. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere is ok. Also the security set-up is fine. Maybe a minor point is: the mng should consider to build somekind of door-stopper - obviously they fall back automatically with some annoying noise.

It was horrible to sleep in such a small place. It is not for humans. There were 8 people with no space to put suitcases, get clothes on or even walk. It smells awful. It was not a good experience at all.

The treatment is really good. Reception people are nice. They could do a better job keeping the aspect of the place. But most importantly the MUST set (and enforce rules) about behavior at night. We barely slept on a Saturday night due to the noise people made. Doors being shut outside could be felt inside the room. Not to speak of the people you can find in the place. In Amsterdam you must be able to shut your door and be able to sleep without being affected by other people's crazy behavior.

Gread location and staff was great, is good value for money it was clean room. I would recommending for this hostel to anyone.

The has a good location, in the middle os the city centre, so you can do everything by walking or by tram, if you prefer. However, the hostel is a very weird building. We stayed on the 5th flor and there is no elevator!

I wish it had been more open. One of the great things about hostels is meeting new people and it was difficult to do that here. The facilities were clean and neat and there were lockers and a safe available for valuables as well as 24 hour reception but i definitely would have appreciated a more community feel at this hostel. I did get to know the people in my original room but other than that we didn't meet anyone new.

The main things are : cleanliness in the hostel; perfect location. We liked it very much:)

This place was disgusting. We literally (and I mean literally not figuratively) walked in dropped our stuff and spent the next 4 hours wandering around the city looking for somewhere else with an open room. The room was disgusting with brown stains on the walls and bed. It felt like someone was going to murder us. This place is a scam. They will not refund your money and do not apologize for the state of this awful place. For the same price we found a nice clean hotel. Awful, dirty, scam.

I enjoyed my stay at the hostel. One thing that made me feel a bit uneasy was that I noticed that my things had been moved/cleaned up when I was not in the room. Otherwise, I had no complaints!

Average Amsterdam hostel, steep steps so if you have really heavy luggage keep this in mind. Showers for shared dorms are typical, hot running water in the winter which is all you need. There was no problem getting a shower in while we were there. Rooms are small and key deposit is 20e , however there are lockers and a sink and if you're spending any time other than sleeping in hostels you're doing this whole thing wrong. Staff friendly and helpful, microwave and fridge in lobby + pool table.

The only main complaint was that the WIFI did not work. Also, we were not allowed to have food or drink in our rooms.

we had a 4 beds-rooms at the 3rd floor and it was a bit difficult to bring our luggage on the room because of steep stairs!! anyway no problem on other points of view

The worst hostel I've seen so far, dirty and. Small, for the same cost you go to a good hostel!

It has a really good location in the heart of Amsterdam that you can save for public transport. The room and bathroom were clean. However room was quite narrow that you almost cant move. Kıtchen has all the stuff to cook and they were also clean. So i think i worth of this money and ı recommended it for sure;)

Excelent place and great value for money . really nice place clean and great location. nice big windows .one thing is tho you could get better food for your cafe . i had serious munchies and the hcoice is very limited , get a deal with a local waffle shop or sumthing sale or return just an idea :) but great stay thanks very much

First of all Mevlana is in a great place, near Dam and CS. The stairs are a bit annoying but the place is so clean,soaps everywhere,sinks in room,showers are large and clean,towels for free. There should be breakfast but according to price, you really get more than you expect. The staff is soooo nice,helpful. Even though we had a little problem with hostelworld,staff's smiling face was the solution. Thanks for everything:)

Staff were very sociable, room was very clean as was the bathroom. Only problem was the price and limited variety of food available in the reception but is to be expected and had a fridge for food from elsewhere. Excellent value for money considering the central location.

perfect location, 5 min. walk central station. Hotelroom is clean and service is ok.

Friendly staff. very easy to check in and do all the required paperwork. Wireless didnt work in my room (second floor). Bed etc were fine. Shower was as expected for a cheap hotel. No restuarant that sold food, only a kitchen where you could maek your own.
