The staff was very helpful and the room very good (quiet, comfortable beds). The breakfast portions could have been bigger and the pool looked too dirty to swim in.

This was the first time we have ever stayed in a hostel and we pleasantly surprised. It is a nice place filled with beautiful art painted by the owner. Roberto was so wonderful , he booked all of our outing and flights going way beyond his duty. It was a wonderful experience we felt safe and taken care of! Yummy breakfast provided as well.:)) It is a lovely hostel and I would recommend it to anyone :)

I liked this place. Its very easy. Right near the airport as,well as the bus station so you can go whereever you want quickly. Robert and his, staff are great. And you get a nice little breakfast in the morning. Eggs rice beans homemade tortillas. Only draw back, i was told i had to pay cash 5 minutes before i checked out. But no big deal.

A few maintenance opportunities (door knob broken) but easy to overcome. Manager Roberto has created an amazing artistic display of his original works to accompany the other eclectic pieces around the property. Small pool area to sun or relax. Located on one of the many busy Alajuela streets. Parking on premise but a little tricky to navigate. Small quantities for breakfast (by active American standards), but very tasty. Lots of dining options just around the corner. 5 minute walk to park
