We stayed here as a family of five to explore Penang. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms excellent and clean, if a little tired, an linen was changed daily. Reasonably close to Comtar, Chinatown and Little India. We intend to use it again as our Penang base.

Friendly & helpful staff. Free map & best of all, clear & precise bus info to all major attractions. Not too far from shopping area. I like it for its quietness and serenity. I had a wonderful stay there. Cheers!

My first impression about this hotel is looking as old hotel. But the warm water and good wireless for the internet connection making a plus for this hotel :) Feeling little bit surprised for the breakfast ;)

Staff were very helpful providing tourist info on arrival and when asked later. Room was a nice surprise being so spacious, with an extra "lounge" area. Very clean too. Will recommend Mingood to others!! Thanks again, Donna & Chris

I have 14 fresh mosquito bites and someone tried to come in my room in the middle of the night. This was not a pleasant stay.   Read Owner Comments

Generally it is clean. But the location is not good. Not many people stay in this hotel. It is so quiet at night; grils might feel a little scared.

Staff were very helpful in sorting out activities. Is a very plain hotel, but very clean, spacious, quite and safe.

Staff were very helpful however, you can find a much better place for the cost and in a better location. Room was dirty and the sheets were not clean.

I was insulted as I walked in the door. The linens were dirty and ragged. The sheets torn and mended, the comforter was threadbare and perhaps 3 decades past its prime. The A/C was very high and feeble. The location was ok if you want to be near upper penang and the ex-pat area of bars and nightlife. The lobby is nice... if thats worth anything at all. I dont think so.

Sheets were patched up, rooms were a bit shabby yet colourful (blue and pink and yellow and a hint of beige), but breakfast (P&J!) was okay and the 6hour tour around penang was really entertaining (ask for Steward!).
