The wonderful couple who own and operate Hotel Mistral make it a great place to stay. It's a little bit outside of town (But then your first view is totally awesome through the old waterwheel way instead of the blah tourist way), but the friendly hosts really set you up for a super - A+ stay in Avignon and surroundings. This hotel was great, it is apparently under new ownership, and the owners are very kind. They even brought our bags up to the room for us. They let us leave our bags in the hotel after checking out so we could do some more touring before catching the train. It is a little far from centre ville, but there is the bus right there, and it was great. Clean, quiet, friendly, and a cute little hotel. I give four stars to this little 2-star! Hotel was extremely clean. Also, host was absolutely amazing. It is nice to be able to talk to someone in Enlish fluently when you are away traveling for a long period of time. He was extremely helpful with any requests. Unfortunately, the room was a bit noisy during the night, but the host more then made up for that!Hotel was extremely clean. This hotel was great, the people were friendly and helpful. The rooms were really clean and big. The bathroom was a good size and there is a private balcony. Internet (wifi) in the rooms and just all around a good hotel. The only downside is the location. Even that isn't so bad. It is about a 10-15 min walk to the center and if you don't want to walk there is a bus that stops right across the street and will take you into the center. Great Hotel for a Great price.
