The owner was great but didn't speak English so had to communicate with gestures or in writing. The room was very modern but the ensuite bathroom wasn't at the same standard. Both very clean and had the necessities but the shower was tiny and the toilet handle didn't work too well. Only found out upon checkout that the continental breakfast was €7!! About a 25min walk into the outskirts of the beautifully preserved town or catch #5 bus from right outside the hotel to the doorstep of town.
The hotel was ok. It's about 15 minutes walk from the city center, the rooms were not very good, a bit shabby but the staff is really nice. For value of money it was good.
Mistral is a little while out of a town. It's in a quiet, predominantly Muslim neighbourhood between 10 and 15 minutes walk from the city walls. The number 3 bus leaves for town regularly a couple of second's walk from the hotel door. The owners are very friendly. The room was clean and the air conditioning v. effective, but the shower was awful. A couple of places you can get a beer/coffee and sit outside nearby, although for dinner you'd have to go into town really. Nice place, fond memories.
