This hotel is great! The staff is very gentle and the bedroom well cleaned and cosy. We'll definitely go back to there. Sacre Coeur church and the Moulin Rouge are very close, but you can also walk to Tour Eiffel and all the great monuments. The only thing I'd say to take care is: if you are walking or using the subway, avoid getting there too late. During the day, never to note... but at night, it seems a little dangerous to be walking around.
Our reservation was almost cancelled due to our card being declined before arrival even though we were paying in cash. Luckily they put us back on the list and gave us the keys. The room was clearly just re done as it smelt slightly of paint and the after had never been ran before but the room was nice. The area is a bit iffy but for two nights this hostel was good.
I would NOT stay in this hostel again. The entire building smelled like they had just painted, closed all the windows and doors, and never let it air out. The musty paint smell was very unpleasant. On top of that, there was no air conditioning, which might be fine in many climates, but it was very hot when we stayed there. Between the smell and the temperature, it was VERY difficult to get any sleep. We opened the windows, hoping for a breeze, but all we got were city street noises. No sleep. :(
