This hotel is located right by the Crawford Market, a huge shopping district where there are fresh fruits and many other goods. Tour guides are easy to find. The check-out time of 8 a.m. is very very strange and early. The staff at the reception is not particularly friendly or helpful, but the bellboys are. The rooms at the front are very noisy, and my room was very small and did not have a window. It was very clean however. The clientele is somewhat strange, with a number of Indian single male guests, and I received strange phonecalls in the evening from one of these guests which did not make me feel particularly safe. This place is cheap and well located for seeing the sites during the day. However, it isn't in the main backpacker area (hence why cheap) so if you're looking to mingle with people and find bars / cafes, this isn't the place. That said, it is clean, the staff are nice and it is cheap. It's also only a short taxi ride away from the tourist area.This place is cheap and well located for seeing the sites during the day. The place is clean and safe and that is welcoming after arriving in b\Bombay and that might be all you need.
