A decent place to stay but a little out of the way. A short walk will get you to a U-bahn station but it still takes some time to get into the centre. Clean rooms, interesting decor, very good breakfast and good value for money if you don't have a car. The car park has tiny spaces and costs €13.50, something we weren't made aware of when we booked.

Great breakfast. Location is a little far from the main centre but can still be walked if needed. Very small rooms, we had a shared bathroom, but had a sink in our room.

very lovely hotel , very helpful staff , great breakfast , the pictures on the corridor walls give a very aesthetic and cultural feeling , situated in a very nice area ( although there is about 5 - 7 minutes of walking to the nearest U-Bahn station ) the next door neighbor is an excellent Indian restaurant , the hotel is highly recommended

If you like the smell of stale smoke, then this is the place for you. Although it isn't stated anywhere on their page, many of the rooms allow smoking. So if you're a non-smoker, either request a non-smoking room or go and stay somewhere else that isn't stuck in 1970. Apart from that - despite the busy street you don't hear too much noise and the breakfast was really good.

Hotel Nymphenburg was wonderful! We stayed in a private with a shared bathroom. It was a hotel, but our experience was more hostel like. The room was really nice and even had a sink. Free wifi in the room. The breakfast was incredible! The location is decent and we walked everywhere. We really enjoyed our experience there and would definitely go back.

The hotel receive the signature which is not mine, and collect money from my account without my permission and authorisation. The signature belongs to another person. They did not even take a close look at this.

Owner Comment (Show)
Dear Ms, unfortunately you checked out early and left the bill for your friend whom you shared the room with. However she was not able to pay for the room on her check out. Her prepaid card was declined and she also explained that she has not have enough cash. We therefore resorted to our right to use your credit card guarantee in this case of unpaid error (just to have a proof for her failure to pay, we made a copy of the declined card and let your friend sign all the receipts). Ms. we never have charged anything else than it was contracted and authorized by your credit card guaranty.

Overall I was very impressed. The staff were very courteous and helpful and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable, we shared a bathroom/toilet but there was never a queue and it was always clean. Links into central station are good and you could also walk there, takes around 15-20 mins (depending on your speed!). I throughly recommend staying here and would do so myself again - as mentioned by previous guests, the breakfast was very good and all in all a great place to stay.

The rooms are pretty basic, interiors are not that modern but comfortable. Staff is very helpful and the hotel is perfect located in Munich.

It's more of a hotel than a hostel to be honest, it has three stars, a very nice breakfast, spacey rooms and good toilets. The downside, of course, is that it's a bit more pricey than one would expect from regular dorm hostels... but for a twin room, it was very good value for my money. We got a room with a shared toilet in the corridor, which felt a bit weird since it's so much like a regular hotel otherwise, but the toilet was nice and it was always free.

The location was close to two metro stops, which made getting around very easy, although options for dinner nearby were not very abundant. Although we had a shared bathroom, it was never a problem as there were not very many people staying in the hostel at the time. However, with more people, the one bathroom per floor may have become an issue. The buffet breakfast was one of the best we had in Western Europe but it is worthwhile getting there earlier rather than later.

The place is actually a hotel with an opera and classical music theme. It is different from a hostel so you get more privacy but also less chance to interact with fellow travelers if that's what you're into. Overall the place is very nice, the room was clean and everything was as expected. It is great value for the price. Some have said that it is far from center, but actually it is only a good walk (~20 min) from HBF, and with metro it is easy to reach anyway. The breakfast buffet is fabulous.

Breakfast was best in Europe we have encountered. Large selection of food both hot and cold. Room was good and staff were very friendly. We arrived early and they cleaned the room while we waited and let us in after about 5 minutes. In this time we were offered cake and coffee for free which was lovely. Great location only minutes from the metro but quiet enough area so not too noisy. There was a Christmas market just up the road which was nice also. We had a shared bathroom which was also good.

A nice hotel, very reasonable price for the time of year (early December) compared to hostels. There was a large range of options to choose from for breakfast (cereals, eggs, bread, pastries) and it was included which was great. Although it wasnt in the city centre, its only 2 stops on the train to get to the main station. There are two train stops within 5 minutes walking distance so getting into the city was really easy. Would definately recommend this hotel!
