Friendly staff, good breakfast included, constant hot water. Only downside... You don't get any sleep. The hotel is nestled between about 3 different clubs and the music doesn't stop until the wee hours. The owner kindly let me move rooms as my first one had a window that directly looked into a rock venue. The new room was equally as noisy but next to a cheesy dance club. So you can choose what type of music you'd like blaring in to your room at night, but even ear plugs won't block it out.

Right in the centre of Thamel - so excellent location in that sense. But also directly in between a night club

Very noisy at night but that's to be expected when you're in the middle of Thamel! Had a great stay there.

The guys at Hotel Potala were very kind and helpful and always ready to assist. They picked us up from the airport which was great since that's a pretty hectic place. free breakfast was always delicious. they helped book our bus to Nagarkot too for a fair price. it is really noisy pretty much every night, so earplugs are your best friend. enjoy that brief silence between 12 and 4 am. wish we had an electric outlet in our room.

Best location imaginable, right in the middle of Thamel. Hot showers, good rooms and the nicest staff. A bit noisy, but what can you expect in Thamel. Very cheap and including average breakfast. Will definitely book here again if I go back to Kathmandu.
