I stayed here for one night. It's situated about ten minutes walk from the Taj Mahal which is perfect and the facilities where decent. I didn't try the restaurant but it looked affordable and clean. The six bed dorm came with a towel and blanket and the shower was hot although the bathroom did smell like rotten eggs. All in all great value.

This is a great place to stay for short visit in Agra as it is 5-10 min walk to Taj Mahal. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm and it was perfectly fine. On the second floor there is a "restaurant" where you can have cheap meals and breakfast. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. As a western woman travelling alone I felt safe and comfortable at Rashmi!

The family that own the hostel are lovely, the location is fantastic, the rooms were clean and the hot water worked. The manager is a complete douche although he is a lot nicer when his boss is around, go figure.

On the way to the hostel, there were tonnes of stray dogs at night. They might follow you. You will hear dogs barking all night long. Low-pressure drippinng shower (when multiple showers were used) was frustrating. You can hear chitchattings, laughters and other kind of sounds clearly from next room through bathroom. Other than the location (near to Taj Mahal), thumbs-down.

we got food poisoning and we suspect it was from this place! (chicken). Other than that the hotel is average at best.

Convenient place to stay if you're headed to the Taj. The WiFi is good, and was up most of the time. Sheets were clean, but the blankets are the big puffy kind that rarely get washed (common in India), so if that kind of stuff bothers you, you'll be more comfortable with a liner. Only small complaint was the dankness of the bathroom and room upon entering. I was in the six person mixed dorm. Water was hot. Food at restaurant was decent. Would recommend if wanting few frills stay close to Taj.

is is a good place to stay if you want to see the taj mahal in the morning. it is very close to the south gate and at the hotel they are very friendly to help you with organizing your trip. The rooms are clean and the food at the hotel is OK. I stayed one night and i was pleased. Good value, friendly people and good location

staying on hotel RASHMI was a great time for me very nice location just next to TAJ MAHAL, the hotel was neat , rooms are clean, 24 hrs hot water supply, free wi-fi , good food at restaurant, staffs were helpful and friendly, free mineral water ( hotel has it's own mineral water plant ), I would strongly recommend this property for tourists and bagpakers. enjoyed excellent during my stay.

Really didn't like this one. Stayed in a 6 bed dorm and the cut out section above the door (same as all rooms I think) opened straight into the main area of the hostel where the overnight staff were yelling at each other across three levels all night. Freezing cold, no hot water (despite the staff saying over and over that there was, the wifi didn't work and bar being close to the Taj Mahal, the location wasn't great. Won't be heading back.

Very hard beds and pillows. No hot water and mosquitoes came in from bathroom window. Very loud (bottom floor) where we could constantly hear noise from the street and the foyer. Close to taj though.

First night there we were moved next door to another hotel with no explanation - we found out later it was a plumbing problem. Following day we checked into a clean room full of mosquitoes. They provided an anti-mosquito plug. Showers were hot, wi-fi was poor and extremely slow. Power cuts were common at our time there. Food was OK although rather greasy and not as nice as next door. Staff were reasonably friendly. Great location a short walk from the Taj. Fine as Agra is not a place to stay.

We had no hot water in the shower, only in the tap. So we had to bucket shower. Our madresses and blanket smelled from urin.

5-min walk to Tai Mahal East gate, very good for full moon night viewing(which gather neat east gate) lucky to have no one sharing the 4-bed dorm, otherwise, would be quite crowded a walk in guest came to see the room at 0600 in morning, may happen sometimes as the train arrive early the staff didnt help to carry baggage or anything but wait at the door for tip?! the manager was helpful though bottle water costed R40 which was 20 in other restaurant no hot water for showering?!
