By bus: from the Central Terminal (TICEN), located across from the Public Market (Mercado Público), take any bus heading to TICAN, a satellite terminal. From there, switch to #276 - Balneário Canasvieiras (check schedule and itinerary at http://www.canasvieirastc.com.br/webnews/?menu=lst_hr&id=29). Show the driver the hotel name and address on a piece of paper so he knows where to let you off (it is unlikely he will understand any language other than Portuguese - maybe Spanish). This last leg should take about 5-8 minutes. Call us if you get lost, we'll rescue you. :)

Tip: get a tourist card (Cartão Passe Rápido Turista) at TICEN and save R$0,30 on each trip (R$2,90 x R$2,60). You are also entitled to one free transfer per trip with it. The card itself costs R$3,00 and you can add credit to it at any terminal. Any unused credit is refundable, so you got nothing to lose.
