The hot water heater was broken when we arrived, which took 2 days to fix. The building is far from safe. The floors are squishy. The rooms were disgusting. Dirty blankets with wet stains one night, and a bathroom that smelled so strongly of rot we could not take showers nor leave the door open. The doors are so flimsy you can see the cheap automatic lighting flick on and off ALL NIGHT LONG, and one of those nights, someone knocked on our door (twice) at 2am. Worst hotel ever. Never going back.

You\'re paying for location here. I don\'t have much experience with hotels in Europe, but this wasn\'t anything more than a bed and a bathroom. The shower leaked all over the floor, and it was tiny, but it\'s in a prime location for a moderate cost.

A very comfortable place to stay. Really felt more like a hotel than a hostel.

excellent location next to the Grande Place. It's on a weird street with casinos, betting shops and prostitutes. friendly welcome from the staff. room was basic, but cheap. recommended

The hostel is extremely near to the city centre. And the price is reasonable. The room is quite clean and tidy.

Not a typical youth hostel - more like a budget hotel for people of all ages. However - the lobby was safe/clean and the room was clean. It was like a regular hotel room with no frills. Only issue was that outside was very loud (bar across the street)until 4am. However - close to the central train station and right by the Grand Palace/food/shopping. Good spot if you are traveling with friends and just looking for a clean place to sleep.

The location was great. The room was small unlike what the photos advertise for, but I have to say it was clean. The breakfast is not included in the room\'s rent you have to pay for that separately. However, there is no need to because there are a couple of brekfast places around the hotel that have delicious pastries and desserts.

My friend and I stayed at Hotel St. Nicolas were very happy with the location. Both her and I are in our early 20\'s we were super excited that the hotel had such a perfect location to the bars and nightlife. Also, it was extremely close to the historical center, particularly Grand Place. The beds and the rooms were clean and comfortable, and our balcony gave us an incredible view. We were so happy with our stay. We thought we were going to a crappy hostel to be so excited to discover this hotel!
