Basic and clean private room hotel with wifi in the rooms. Nothing fancy, and we only stayed the night en route to mancora, so dont know about the location compared to the rest of the city. Decent value for the money

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The street outside is very very noisy and the warm weather forces you to have a window open. I could sleep but my parents, had some isuess. The stuff is nice and helpfull, the location ok. If you don`t mind a little bit noise, then this is a great stay for some nights, if you for example will continue travel up north from piura.

If youre passing through Piura this hostel is fine. Short taxi ride into town. Located on busy road.

This is not a backpacker place. Manager and staff gave me wrong local information continuously, and were unhelpful in the extreme costing me money and time, (and I was only there 1 day and night). Manager also added charges for kitched use, which is not what is on advert, (pre my stay).

I had a most comfortable stay at Hotel San Jose. I stayed in piura one night before and one night after a visit to Mancora Beaches. The staff was so pleasant and the rooms nicely equipped. It is located outside of the main center of the city but a cheap cab ride away if you want to explore. I enjoyed the great Chifa restaurant across the street that was recommended. I\'m dry pleased with my stay here.

The lady at reception was very welcoming and helpful - she was able to answer our questions about booking an onward bus and tried to call the company to get more information for us (we only have very limited Spanish but she was very patient!). She also made sure we got in an official taxi to the bus station for the right price. The wifi was fast and worked in our room which was clean and comfy with a hot, powerful shower. We felt very safe as there as the front security door is always locked.

Although accomodations were run of the mill, the owners switched our seservation and charged us nearly double. Since it was later in the evening, we obviously had no other alternative but to say OK. They also refused our Visa card even though they have a sign saying Visa accepted outside.

Not a lot to do in Piura but this hostel is is good to stay in for a night en-route to somewhere else.We stayed here for one night on our way to Piura airport to fly onto Lima. The staff were lovely and offered to book a secure taxi to the airport. The room was very clean and it had cable tv (a luxury when travelling).
