The San Lucca Hotel is the best in Venice! Is three star: the acomodation is beautiful and clean, the breakfast is delicius and the hotel is next to Piazza de San Marco e Rialto, the principals turistics points in this city. The price is a little expansive, but you don´t find best local with best price em Venice!

Really kind staff. We stayed in a room next to the breakfast area and early next morning a large group was really noisy taking breakfast. We asked if we could change rooms and we were promptly upgraded to a better room in their nearby annex in a great 17th century building facing a canal. The only inconvenience was that we had to walk back every morning to have breakfast in the main building. Great value in a really expensive city.

Venice is an expensive city to be. If you want to be in the main island, close to the main attractions, you should stay at Hotel San Luca. It's located between San Marco square and Rialto bridge. They have a main bulding and an annex that's at a walking distance.

We had quite a nice stay at Hotel San Luca. Our room was very cosy and on one of the canals (which is great for a honeymoon) and right in the middle of the Marco district (where all the big tourist sights are). Although hostel world don't stay in the hotel per se but rather another suite of rooms they own nearby the hotel it doesn't make any difference in Venice where everything is just a short walk away. The breakfast was great, all you can eat and more then your standard continental brekky.
