What I loved about this place was it's location. A block away from the realto bridge, and it was super easy to find. The staff was friendly, but when i asked for suggestions on tours or activities they directed me to the ticket stand in St. Mark's Square. The room was clean but very small and not very comfortable. For the price you are getting little more than a safe place to sleep for the night. I had a single room to myself, so I can't speak for the dorms.

My husband and I stayed for one night at this charming hotel and what stood out the most for us was the staff. The two sisters we dealt with were so lovely and helpful. We hope to be able to return for another stay in the future. Thank you!

Ambra and Stefania were absolutely wonderful. Ambra in particular was very welcoming and super helpful. They are Venetian and so know exxactly where to go to eat/shop/etc. and where to avoid. They also speak excellent English, as well as other languages. The location is perfect for walking to sites, as it is so near the Rialto bridge, which due to signs can be found without a map. We felt very safe there and well cared for.

You took us around the city and showed us your favorite places to eat - the hotel was great, but our experience in Venice was made exceptional by your kindness. Thank you so much for making out trip so great!

Nice staff. Clean rooms. A bit noisy. No breakfast.

Unfortunately, I accidentally booked one day later than the actual arrival date... We only find out when we arrived at the hostel around 10pm at night. Althrough there is one vacant room available, and nobody going to take it since it was so late. They refused to help us exchange one room for next day, and insist on charging the full rate.Frontdesk doesn't speak English at all. I was so disppointed how the whole thing was handled... total different experience from the reviews I saw from here.

Stayed two nights. Location near the Rialto bridge made it easy to find (even though I lost my map and took the wrong Vaporetto). Also close to St. Mark's; this is the perfect base for exploring Venice on foot. But best of all is the staff: hard to find a more cheerful, helpful group than this. The receptionist made great recommendations, filled me in on local life, and always made me feel at home. Thanks!

The sisters working there were very warm and willing to help. The location is so close to Realto bridge, very convenient.

This was a great place to stay. Great value for money in an expensive city. The owners were very welcoming. You will need to bring a towel with you though as the ones provided are like bed sheets. Location was great. It's not five star but you couldn't really ask for more x

Staying at this hotel was great! Ambra was very nice, friendly, approachable, basically wonderful in every way. She spent a lot of time giving us speciifc details about what sights to see, how to navigate the city, where to get the best local food, and which tourist traps to avoid. The room was very clean and spacious, and we had our own bathroom with shower. There was a nice terrace next to our room where we could relax and have a few drinks after returning from dinner. All in all, a great stay

Very, very loud because of construction works below our window. Hard to sleep when they start working early in the morning.

The location is excellent and really easy to find. Just follow description on their website and you won't get lost. Well, as all the others say, the staff is great and they really do love their job and care about their guests. The room was spacious and clean. We came on a cold and rainy day and it was very warm and comfortable inside. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice budget stay!

Had a great two night stay. The sisters at the front desk were incredibly nice and helpful. Gave some good eating recommendations and lent us an umbrella when it rained. Rooms are an average size (for Europe) but tastefully decorated and clean. The hotel is two minutes from Rialto, so it's hard to get too lost. With the sisters and location, great experience!

San Salvador was the nicest place we stayed in Italy; the rooms are beautiful and the staff is very accommodating to guests. The hotel and its annex are a two minute walk from an ATM, the Rialto Bridge, and plenty of restaurants and shops. If you can get a good price on a room (it's pricier than some), this hotel is definitely worth staying in.

Staying at Hotel San Salvador was a fantastic experience. The sisters who own it were extremely sweet and helpful. The room was impeccably clean. The location is convenient- right next to il Ponte di Rialto, but removed enough from the loud market. We would recommend this hotel to anybody traveling in Venice.

Hotel San Salvador is situated in an ideal location, right near the Rialto bridge and has an INCREDIBLE staff who are extremely helpful and friendly. They gave great tips, including restaurants that are not touristy, which we greatly appreciated. The rooms were cleaned everyday and we had absolutely no problems with our stay. Directions to the hotel were super helpful as it is located in a typical Venetian alley.
