On the second night there was a group of screaming raging british teenagers who would not shut up. They were not even in their room, just in the hallway where everyone could hear. They kept everybody up till after midnight and then woke us up at 5am with their raucous screams and the staff didnt do anything about it.. The staff should definitely interfere in cases like this. Other than that our stay was fine, hostel is austere, no kitchen, no computers, no common room. They keep the rooms clean

Staff very helpful, despite poor english...they need to put room light switches on the inside though..and give us our own locks to the rooms..good value for money though

It is a good hostel, with clean rooms and a friendly staff. It is near the metro, but one can walk about 20 min to arrive at the main places. The only problem I'd point out is that there aren't any lockers, so don't forget your own padlock!

I must say that generally i am satisfied with the services of Hotel San Tomaso I have only faced some problems during the initial communication, emailing them or calling them. Also i would like to have a little more silence after 22.30 in the hotel.

It is more a two stars hotel with shared rooms than a properly hostel. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Good location also and wifi. But you don't have a shared kitchen or individual lockers in the rooms. It is a calm place. Good if you just want a place to sleep.

Old building, the room bit smelly, the location is bit far away from center city, and it's so noisy because the room was faced to the main road...

The hostel was owned by a chinese family, and doesn't speak fluent english. We had trouble in communicating. The wifi doesn't reach our room, we need to come to the reception to use it, and the space is very small.

Nice hotel to stay for 2-3 days. Very good location, near to Pt Venezia (subWay station) and tram. It's clean in there, every day new towels)) , but; ..no kitchen, or fridge ,just some tables, and ofcourse they could make more keys in the mixed room,(to lock the door when nobody's there) it's cost just 2eu, one ;]

Location was good. About a 15/20 minute walk to the train station (also where you catch shuttles to airport) and about a 20-30 min walk to the city center. Also near the red line. The staff was nice. However, if you are looking for the staff to help you with things to do/see/eat/drink/dance etc. you have the wrong place.

Great location (5 min walk to metro) and easy to find. The rooms were very nice, very clean, sheets included (hard to find in Milan!) and very quiet (even though it's on a busy street). 24 Hr reception means that you can come and go as you please. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available at the front desk. 3 bathrooms in the hallway make for availability any time you need it. Overall I would definitely stay this place is worth the money and I would stay there again!

Very good location, close to Central train station, walking distance or easy public transport both there or to Duomo. It´s cheap hotel with dormitories, so don´t expext the hostel character or having a big fun there ;-) Clean rooms and nice staff. Rooms are open all the day and night, but there always somebody on reception.

The hostel was sort of dull and rather average. The only truly exceptional thing about it was how clean it was, with sheets being changed daily, even for returning guests (something more reminiscient of a hotel than a hostel). The location was good, not too long a walk from the city center or the central train station, with the path to each being rather simple. The staff, however, made it feel like I was a massive inconvience whenever I had a question for them, which was rather rude.

San Tomaso is more like a hotel. Staff was extraordinarily helpful. The Front Desk staff are multi-lingual. Can't tell you how lovely it was to always find welcome and help at Front Desk, and big smiles from the entire staff. It was a home away from home for us! But don't expect group hostel activities, and rec facilities. Locale great. Near Centrale train station, across Porta Venezia Metro stop. In 1 of shopping districts. Near darn good pizza and panini restaurants, super market.

Is the worst hotel ever. The photos by hotel to the site were taken before 30 years at least!!!!It isn't as a common hotel. It is in the third floor of a very old build. An unhelpfull family has this hotel, they don't give you keys...you have to ring the bell and waiting a long time to open to you.The room is so dirty and the sheets are disgusting!!!and the best of all?the light of your room is out of the door...anyone,anytime can open or close your light!!!as for the security it isn't exist!thanks
