Dont be deceived by the photos for this hotel here. When you arrive you are put in a grotty room which bears little resemblence to the rooms you see here ("we are fully booked" is what we were told - they did change one room which was a slight improvement) Also the location of the hotel is not particularly convenient. Though it looks central on the map, the walk to the cathedral takes about 10-15 minutes, and perhaps about 30 mins on foot to the river... which is annoying when you're out atnigh

David Lynch-like corridors with red curtains, really cool atmosphere. Extremely nice and helpful staff.

There is no information about breakfast in their page and when you scroll down, there are two options for breakfast (included/ not included). It should be really clear if the breakfast is included or not to understand if this price available for the visitor. It is very confusing and also really banal way to trick people and ask for breakfast money when they are checking out. MOREOVER, they also ask about strange taxes which are not included in the price you've seen in the web-page. Annoying...

This place was perfect for 6 of us. We got two 3 bed rooms. The staff was super helpful and showed us the best places to go in town to avoid the tourists including the best gelato. Even though it was not in the middle of everything it was only like a 10 minute walk to the cathedral and was nice to be able to get away from all the people. Worked perfect for us.

The hotel was fine and staff was ver helpful. The only thing is that we didn't know there was another entry wich made us saty for some minutes ringing the bell that nobody answered and trying to call to a number given by the hotel at he website that didn't even ring. But the room was comfortable and the bathroom is nice.

Hotel Savonarola was well located, clean, and the staff were lovely. I would stay there again if I come back to Florence!
